I think the victory condition for Russia is now unachievable, they've lost so much ground, taken so many losses - with winter on the way I can't see them making any real progress, or re-taking all of what they've lost, not now.
Oh he's digging alright... into quicksand.Putins changed his goals he's no longer in expansionist mode he's digging his heals in staking out the four oblasts and crimea ashisrussias territory and basically squatting on them.
Almost certainly he is taking advice from the US government.

Its leadership coaching 101. Don't even entertain the text, just reduce the person posting it to a less desirable position. Why hasn't Musk called him a liar in that reply? Its not even a denial he said it. If someone is saying you said something you didn't you would at the least flat out deny you did.
Patriot and Iron Dome need a lot of training to operate, so you’re talking about putting US and/or Israeli personnel on the ground in Ukraine. Like it or not, that would give Putin some “Look! Western troops in Ukraine! NATO agression!” propaganda fuel for Russian media. That basically sums up my position as well.
If Ukraine can get better air defences in place then even the threat of missile terrorism will subside.
Will still be a hard fought war though.
Belarus is a wild card but I'm still not really convinced they'll do anything.

What makes you think that? Elon's behaviour over this seems in keeping with his behaviour on everything else: a steadfast belief in his abilities far in excess of his actual areas of skill and expertise.
There is no way he would be able to operate his Starlink in Ukraine without the guidance of the US.What makes you think that? Is Elon just Trump in a mask!?
