Whilst I would love to see the demise of Putin I fear that what may replace him could be even more hardline/evil.
Ukraine has had years to put down multiple lines of defences in Donetsk and with the immense increase in hostilities along with changing battlefield additional months of doing pretty much nothing but laying down more defences around Kramatorsk/Slovyansk. Russia's whole rationale for constantly assaulting Bakhmut (beyond internal politics with Wagner trying to prove themselves/Kremlin trying to keep them from getting too powerful) is that it's of logistical benefit to them in taking the rest of Donetsk (though without Lyman it's a bit poopy), unfortunately for them that is pretty much irrelevant when there is no prospect of it not being the frontline which makes it a primarily a barrier and not a very good one for Russia as Ukraine has higher ground.
Getting a litttle desensitized to this stuff nowWatched one video where it seems like Ruskie's managed to mine themselves, and the rest of the team were left picking up legs and torso's of their dead friends. I haven't seen something like that since 'steak and cheese' website seeing a guy torn apart by a trucks wheels (and I think about those pictures often, which is disturbing given that was something like 20 years ago).
After what Russia has done against Ukraine, whatching exploded or exploding Russian soldier in Ukraine brings joy.

Then you should seek some help. Getting joy from watching random strangers being killed or seeing the remains afterwards is a mental health problem. A potentially dangerous one.

Nah, I agree with hook, it's great seeing the evil orcs cease to be.
There but by the grace of birthplace, against corrupted politics and police force, forced mobilisation or conscription and economic circumstance. You too would be cowering in a muddy trench, knees knocking, teeth chattering.

Some people just physically can not (or will not) see how genuinely sick they are. Just imagine that they might have a partner and kids and may seem like the most normal person to talk to, yet mentally they are so broken that they love seeing these videos just to get some gratification and then feel that the behaviour is so normal that it's OK to boast about it behind the anonymity of being online.
I mean just as a litmus test - in their post simply replace the words Orcs with Jews, Blacks, Women, Gays or any other word and see how the reaction to their would be different. Yet just because a single person in charge has made a decision that ends up with some random 19yo from Moscow getting drafted into the Army and end up in the Ukraine, it makes the poster believe that their post is perfectly OK and they know that others will happily cheer them on.
I bet they would say that they are a "good person" or a "moral person who believes in right/wrong" too if asked.
