This isn't a computer game where your objective is to clear the enemy from your territory and once you do it you win.
Do you think Putin will throw in the towel if he is pushed out of Crimea/Donbas etc? I don't see that happening.
Will someone throw him out a window? Maybe, but that is just more uncertainty.

Lol computer game.
Its to do with NATO and the EU for starters. Primarily NATO.

I have no idea what would cause Putin to throw in the towel. People can speculate, the only person who knows is Putin.
If Ukraine can push Russia out of their lands completely then its pretty obvious the military strength at that point demonstrates that at that point Russia cannot take Ukraine.

Ukraine have stated their aims, no one sensible has rejected them, some doubt they are achievable, thats different.
Ukraine have said they have no intention of going into Russia. And I suspect are told regularly to remember that to keep the support and arms flowing.

He will never surrender but its more likely he will land up in plastic bag if Russia start loosing.

Lukashenko would probably end up swinging from a lampost if tries to send his troops in, and I bet he knows that.
Its why they are not already in, Putin was desperate for them to go in but somethings keeping them out, that will be a military coup and Lukashenko knows the feelings in the ranks so wont dare it.

I suspect Poland is happy to do this because they are in the process of replacing their Leopard 2s with South Korean tanks anyway. Hence they no longer strictly need to maintain and support them. In this case it can only affect future possible sales and, as somebody pointed out previously, Germany needs thiose sales as much as everybody else making MBTs.
Calling Germanies bluff, they will dee it as its their tanks and they will do with them as they please.

Don't forget Poland has a huge axe to grind with Russia so their equipment is them indirectly damaging Russia.

Yep 500000
Its not just about numbers, its also about getting them trained and more importantly equipped which will be the real problem.

The stories or rusty AK's and faulty gear from the last mobilisation is one thing but can the really do it all again after struggling the last time.

I'm not at the 'lol Russia' stage yet. They still have the industrial ability to gear up imo.

Indeed, as much as there has been huge mistakes and things not happened as they expected it also still feels like Russia is being underestimated in some elements. They wouldn't be taking areas at all and just routing if it really was as daft as some like to suggest.

Russia wont get their act together, they already brought their A game and A team
Now their only option seems to be zerg plus trying to get as much export kit back as they can

A win for Ukraine is pushing the Ruskies out of Ukraine, then joining NATO and the EU.
Its not hard to understand, they have literally told you.

Sadly for them, their "A game" was better described by the "Z" they painted on their vehicles...

I think you are answering a slightly different question to the one I did. I was responding to, "I wonder what effect Poland ignoring arms controls will have on other countries? Could it make them irrelevant?".

Poland hates Russia and Germany almost equally. They are allied to Germany currently which makes them a little politer. They will do as they see fit though.

Indeed actually one of the risks with a longer war is that Russia heads down the path of NK in regards military dominance in their economy.

IF Russia were to go that way then they would again be truly fearful, and it would be hard to stop them at any point across europe.
Its partly whey Zelensky is right when he says they are doing the fighting for us.
IF Ukraine falls and its because Russia has been forced to move into a military based economy its hard to see why they would stop in Ukraine.

Unfortunately some people seem to think you can deescalate by appeasing a bully. You can't, only the bully can deescalate.

The only way to beat Russia is to outspend it militarily and have better more powerful, accurate kit and use it.
Russia was skint after the cold war ended.

True, and its not hard seeing as they aren't that big an economy.
Its just that a high proportion a very poor.

Even ignoring the americans Europe can easily do this.
But as ever we come back to politicians playing to the whim of voters.
