Ukraine is horribly corrupt, and has been since independence. See the Panama papers for just how far that went.

Yes it is exciting to see the invaders get thier just deserts.

They have raped and pillaged and are getting what they deserve.

You know what, they could just leave and that's it finished, can't see you asking for that though, wonder why.

The last I heard Wagner were now recruiting Serbs, they have them in training.

There is a bit of a storm brewing over it but at the end of the day mercs regardless of where they're from will follow the money.

The sensible ones who know what they are doing however would be mad to join as they will be clever enough to know they are just cannon fodder.

I heard a report which sounded like it is true, that Wagner were counting the dead as having deserted so they then didn't have to pay out for a "dead" soldier as they did need to for captured/deserting ones.

Not as many as people were expecting, however I would guess this will be the first tranche of many to come, not from just Poland but other nations as well. Good to see the ball rolling now though after far too much dithering.

Russia has been saying it's them against the west for a while, and tbh it is really, so we might as well give the Ukranians what they want and make it official...

It wasn't originally but it's just the way it's going because there isn't really any alternative if Russia intend to continue.

If West didn't get involved with lethal aid I think Ukraine would already have lost this, run out of equipment/ammo and it's game over, the rate they are using stuff they'd run out within a month or two of the war starting without the extra support.

Russia may themselves face this situation at some point unless they get re-supplied by places like NK and Iran, or they gear their own economy to producing more of the basic weapons/shells they are using.
