Peace at what cost ?
It looks like the Ukrainians don't want to pay the price for "peace" being offered by Russia, would you if you were in their situation ?
From what we've seen in the regions Russia have taken, they take fighting age men and force them at gunpoint to fight against Ukraine.
Should Ukraine select peace on Russia's terms, what's to stop Russia putting all Ukrainian fighting age men at gunpoint and start attacking Poland, Moldova or any other country ?

Uk the one that concerns us is as bad as anywhere else.

Look at the covid contracts, tories gave themselves, family and friends billions in covid contracts.

That prat that was in the jungle gave a family member a £180million contract, he even gave the landlord of his local an 18 million contract.

The worst one though was the shipping contract for the Tory that didn't have any ships, the contract was cancelled but he got to keep the 13.8 million you couldn't make this crap up it is so corrupt.

So you would give up Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Coventry then for peace? Let the Russians keep them and hope for the best?

They already did that with Crimea, the left Crimea occupied and Russia just waited until it was ready and boom, came back for more.

Do you really think they will just keep what they have and say "hey we wont be back, honest thats us we have what we want you can trust us".

No it needs finished now or they will just bide their time re group re arm and in a few years be back for more, worse still they will hit Finland, Sweden and any other non NATO country on their radar

Putin hasn't hid his desire to get back the old USSR, he needs stopped now or it will go on for decades.

That’s not actually what you want though is it, you’re just like custor - what you actually want, for some strange reason, is for Russia to take Ukraine. You won’t admit to it, but your bias throughout this thread has very much been Pro-Russian.

Ukraine doesn’t want to accept a peace deal, else it would have already. I’ve also not seen any indication from the Ukrainian public that they wish for their government to just concede on Russia’s terms.

Nobody wants war, but the question isn’t war or not, it’s war or the collapse of Ukraine as a sovereign nation. Let’s not forget Russia was telling the world that reports they were amassing a force to invade Ukraine was Western Propaganda. Yet look what they’ve gone and done.

So where does the trust extend? That they’ll stop as long as they have the Donbas? Or will they regroup and take the rest of Ukraine x number of years later.

There are intelligence experts that know more than you and I about the likely long term plan Russia has, and these experts deem it right to equip Ukraine at the cost of billions and unfortunately, of lives of both Russians and Ukrainians.

It's been nearly a year since this began and I'm wondering why there hasn't been any indication of a Wunderwaffe for dealing with Russia's Kalibr platforms? Couldn't Ukraine just make a big torpedo that has the entire range of the Black sea? I guess their ports would have nets for that, but they have to leave some time.
