Plus the US are going to send theirs. The floodgates are open now. Just in time to get them there for a spring offensive. Russia is truly ******. Hopefully we send a few extra.

It’ll provide invaluable data for our next generation of tanks too.

Going back to this a moment - I know development and so on is a complication but I'm amazed at the lack of, and lack of interest in, scaled down, vehicle portable, versions of stuff like the C-RAM for anti-drone work, mostly what little interest there is is focused on electronic warfare to counter them. But many of the types of drones seen on the battlefield could be dealt with via hard kill measures and hotted up medium rifle calibre ammo with some kind of automated chaingun system.

Ukraine are basically going to be slaves to the west when this is all done and finished. All the private firms will be cashing in on the "gold" in Ukraine after all this is done and dusted because I fail to believe they are sending all this war material for the great of good.

From a selfish perspective it will be interesting to see how the Western tanks compare against each other in proper combat.

100% this will happen, but they will also potentially get large scale investment.

This could lead to a huge economic boom for Ukraine, and a weird chance to rebuild and reorganise stuff.

Besides better slaves to the West than slaves to Russia I think, probably even most Russians agree with that.

The cost of war materials is peanuts compared to the rebuilding cost, financing the country and refugee crisis.
But yes, if Ukraine prevail then expect western companies to flood in and do what they like to do - make money!
Should still be a lot better off with that deal, than be run by a country that doesn't care about it's own citizens, nevermind their neighbours.
