Seen on Quora, a troll getting their just deserts:

Why is Zelensky (President of Ukraine) getting richer and fatter? How corrupt is he?
I can’t speak on Zelensky getting richer but i have noticed the weight gain. I don’t think it’s fat though, it looks more like muscle. Probably from dragging around his giant pair of balls across Ukraine, taking on a proverbial Goliath and winning.

Quora is a great site but it's full of Russian trolls concerning anything to do with the war.

Misha Firer and Elena Gold do some great blog posts though from the Russian perspective, well worth following.

Whilst its not going to stop a Javelin etc, would it offer some protection against the smaller improvised drone dropped grenades ?

Wouldn't like to be anywhere near one when its first tested.

Interesting, when you think about it, that the drones have rapidly become, effectively, intelligent flying grenades, and a very serious problem on the battlefield. One that there is little protection from.

I love the way he tried to blame it on the weapon. Lol. Nato weapons are ****, even though they have taken out nearly 2000 Russian tanks, lol.
Have you just watched it? Every time I try it either says error or video removed
I am however on mobile in terrible reception area at the moment as I refuse to pay £10 for two days wifi access

I searched around and managed to find it. It's not all that impresive. He failed to anticipate any recoil and was left bruised, then attempted to blame his incompetance on the weapon!

The AT4 has a handle at the front, he didn't hold the handle and tried to hold the AT4 like an RPG, so the recoil knocked his teeth out

How to hold an AT4

How dumb vatnik holds an AT4

They seem to have some chance of minimising damage from loitering munitions and/or suicide drones though far from a certainty.

For anyone interested, the guy who did an amazing video last year on what tanks Russia have left to try and get back into service has done an updated video and it's really really good:

Interesting note in the comments on one of his recent videos - Russia is trotting out some of this older stuff including older tanks, which on the face of it have no place on the modern battlefield, because they still have stockpiles of ammo for them to use up, so as to ease up the demand on some of their more modern stuff they are running low on and don't have production up to scale yet to replace. Apparently the 100mm stuff on the T54/55 was still in production for export in recent years as well so they have a fair quantity of it sitting around - probably a lot of it is in poor state though.

MLRS now with Cope Cage *upgrade*
Even ignoring the fact that won't work against a javelin/etc you have to question the intelligence of the designer. Because when a TOS deploys the rocket pod is elevated/angled into position, which means that screen will be at a 45-75 degree angle and behind the TOS, providing no cover against drone dropped munitions xD

Okay they may have been planning for it to help "cover" the vehicle in case a missile hits it while driving down the road (as that's how they lost an S-400 a while back), but it's still a comically bad design.

Russian complains that she has to hide in her basement due to explosions in Belgorod
I'm....not really sure how to react to this. While I'm in full support of Ukraine killing Russian soldiers/conscripts/etc who have invaded their country and cased untold levels of carnage/crimes, I'm not so sure they should be trying to kill Russian civilians inside Russia, that just doesn't sit well with me.

And I think that's likely to be the reaction among the majority of the public in the west so they really shouldn't be doing it from a PR point of view, considering western support for Ukraine is the reason this war is still going on.

I think because Ukraine are the clear good guys in this war and Russia the clear bad guys it's easy to dismiss/downgrade anything bad Ukraine do because Russia shouldn't even be there. But at the end of the day we shouldn't have been in Iraq, it didn't justify the 7/7 bombings.
