They're simply reflecting the words of the Ukrainian president who stated wednesday was the day, however those who know say he's a bit of a character used to be a comedian and said it as a joke...
Yet somehow Ukranian's are calling US and UK drama queens and telling us to provide proof or shut up basically. Obviously they also think we're ridiculous.
That was ironic speech. His representative said the president was being ironic, hence ukraininan president set national unity day for the supposed day of invasion.

In fairness I suspect Zelensky is trying to ease tensions but he's right; only Boris, Biden, Truss and Blinken seem convinced war is "imminent" literally none of the other European Leaders seem to think that's the case.
There's also the Winter Olympics which don't end until the 20th; it was always said that Putin would do nothing until that was done (Not that Beijing hosting the Olympics in 2008 stopped him going into Georgia)
Proof? Just ask, "Have you been to your border lately"?
A better question would be, "If this is not what preperation for an invasion looks like, then what is?"
How would preperation for an attack look different than what they have on their borders right now?

He can only do this once and Europe is little impressed i expect. It may form an army but I expect NATO is forewarned and forearmed as a consequence.
Hopefully a serious effort will be made towards energy security making Putins pipeline a damp squib.

Well their official response as per Danilov yesterday, there is no proof that war is going to happen anytime soon. Hence his reasoning for not closing airspace.
What sort of "proof" is he waiting for that isn't in plain view right now?
Would he like for us to design and build a mind-reading machine and get it close enough to Putin to transmit the thoughts in Putin's head to a set of headphones on this other guy's head?

Yet senior Ukranian leadership, Regular Ukranians and regular Russians - seem to think its UK and US are the clowns. There is less preparing for war in civilian population than there was for Covid. Hence they do not believe in it
Sounds like the plot to "Don't look up."
1) He made UK and US declare that they will not protect Ukraine, therefore tearing up Budapest Memorandum.
2) He tanked Ukranian economy due to capital drain.
3) Solidified position at home that west officials are clowns and propaganda (as long as he does not attack)
4) Caused rift in trust between Ukraine and US, UK. They are ignoring our warnings.
5) If he pulls back and does not attack - that would only be seen as a benefit not a loss at home. Russians do not think the war will happen, he does not need to attack to not look weak.
6) Further rift in German vs US pipeline. Scholz refused to even commit to cancelling pipeline themselves if Russia invades.
7) All western instructors have left Ukraine in fear of invasion. No training etc is happening.
8) Even people in the west are doubting our media and officials regarding this

Well it all depends if Putin invades or not.
Not really been following this as I generally avoid the news if I can help it, but as expected a whole load of noise being made about nothing.
Perhaps some of you should try weaning off it for awhile. Sure you may get some form of withdrawal symptoms, but in the long run your be healthier for it.

How can you not really follow something and then go on to say it's a whole load of noise about nothing? What are you basing that on? The UK and US would love that level of intelligence.
Of course, some of the media have been sensationalist, but as far as I'm aware, the situation isn't over and we can see from satellite imagery that it wasn't just nothing.
