Of course, some of the media have been sensationalist, but as far as I'm aware, the situation isn't over and we can see from satellite imagery that it wasn't just nothing.

You can’t avoid it completely it’s rammed down your throats all day everyday.

But it like deja vu I swear we had this same ‘crisis’ a few years ago. Russian army amassed on Ukrainian border preparing to invade imminently. Yawn.

Maybe you can tell us the difference between preparing for an invasion and what we clearly see right now.

What more does Russia need to do to wake you up?

Like I say this us a one shot do.

Ukraine still prefer the west to the ****show that is Putins Russia.

Maybe Scholtz will lean eastwards there is a lot of old world commie solidarity in Germany.

I still think that there will be a boost in energy security thinking elsewhere

Anti Boris and Biden sentiments always exist so he has not really amplified them in the free press. At home maybe where he has more control.

What has been amplified is that Russia is not to be trusted and a stronger cold war relationship beckons.

Apparently Ddos attacks are happening in Ukraine on banks and defence targets, not the hand of friendship.
 
The United States has not seen evidence yet of any Russian troop pullback near Ukraine, Washington’s ambassador to the United Nations said.

In a statement provided by her spokesperson, US Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield said:

It would be welcome news if it is legitimate. We have not seen evidence of that yet.

You do realize that this is Putin's playbook right? He is slowly attempting to destabilize us from all fronts. I think Putin in a nut-shell is when I heard a translation of a thing he said in Russian - which was about a chicken picking food only one grain at the time. This guy takes his time, picking a small grain at the time.

Ultimately as a typical Dictator, his home support is key. I see he scored some major points during this whole mess. As long as he does not attack.

Once again, if Putin attacks, he is an absolute moron.
 
Looks like Putin's bluff has been called we overestimate the strength of the Russian army without their nukes in purely conventional war the Yanks would spank them into next week never mind NATO.

He is not the genius people make him out to be he thinks that china has his back they are just taking advantage of billy no mates Russia and are getting cheap gas and oil out of it.

Well according to Ubersonic, they have upgraded their BUKs to BUK3M and S-300 to S-400 levels. If that's the case, those are comparable if not better than Patriots (S-400 specifically).

They also outnumber Russia in tanks and their quality as well (According to Ubersonic).

I see I read earlier they was after Israel Irone done system but Israel went silent apparently didnt want to upset Russia.
 
If Russia has no intention of invading and nobody outside US/UK believes they actually will then what's the point? Simple answer there would be none, it'd be a massive waist of time, money and make Russia look like a dog that's all bark.
It will also, if anything show Ukraine they need to bolster their forces more and open the door to them getting more anti-air, armour, drones etc. The chance of Russia ever taking them without a full war footing and horrendous loss of life and infrastructure will shrink. Ukraine will also more fervently pursue Nato membership although I'm sure they'll be told the east and Crimea is gone and any adventures to recap would be on their own.

So, in short it'd be dumb to bluff an invasion. I don't think Putin is dumb so for that reason I think there's a very genuine chance they'll go in short of back room diplomacy giving them concessions.
Ukraine will be downplaying this because panic will cripple their economy. Huge numbers will up sticks and seek refuge westwards (another trick the Russians were using via Belarus - Poland not too long ago to cause friction in the EU). Behind closed doors they'll be taking it very seriously.
 
Typhoons and Netherlands Air Force assets in the North Sea - so I'm guessing Russia moving something - not really been keeping much eye on the news.

Poseidon out - don't normally see it broadcasting details - had to laugh at the BRAND NEW after seeing so many assets which are like 50-60 years old.

I bet Netherlands are chomping at the bit after MH-17?

Ive noticed there military very active on the radar all day last few days I dont study this everyday so maybe it just normal though.
