There is an arguement that WW1 started in 1887, and the armisitice was purely a pause for reaarming and another go 20 years later

It’s different because Chamberlain/Britain’s only intention was to avoid a wider war, not territorial gain.

But thanks for bringing it up because it’s exactly the mistake that some here think it would be a good idea to repeat.

We are all massively influenced by how we are brought up. At individual level (ie your parents) etc, but also from the macro environment of the country etc

You cannot blame the majority of the individual Russians. I don't doubt for one minute that most of us would think the same way as them if the positions were reversed.

The Stanford prison experiment proved rather clearly that otherwise normal people can do terrible things quite easily if it's just expected of them to do it. Russia for the most part is that prison and I have no doubt in my mind if they had a better social environment they'd be indiscernible from their neighbours.

The most famous psychological studies are often wrong, fraudulent, or outdated. Textbooks need to catch up.

Since getting vehicles over the empty dnipro would be tricky or impossible, what about fast moving infantry, like horses? It sounds silly but if you can't use vehicles and need to cross the several km river bed quickly, wouldn't horses work
 
It has a contra-rotating main head so it doesn't use a tail rotor to remain flying, meaning a hit to the tail does very little apart from some extra drag and hyd fluid/electrical loses, so I'm not surprised its still going strong.
