The question is how many remain and are they the ones going.

Keep powering up Ukraine's army with better and better weapons until they win. An even quicker way would be for NATO should provide air support for Ukraine, smash up all the suppress the anti air systems, take out logistic centres and command posts and provide air cover for the Ukrainian army. Eventually Russia's army will totally collapse and capitulate along with Putin's supporters who will likely turn on him for his failure. Whoever comes in after Putin nationalist/communist will know the Ukraine war is hopeless and will have no option but to call it off.

Same way we ended WWI & WWII: by supporting our allies, and only entering the fight when circumstances compel us to do so.
The same way the Soviet-Afghan war ended.
We supply the opposition until Russia has expended too much military, financial and political capital that it either can't achieve its objectives or decides they are no longer worth the cost.
