I really fancied riding the off road trails up Sweden and back down Finland on my motorbike but the mosquitoes put me right off the idea. My skin reacts so badly to their bites. Real shame as it look beautiful.

Both are beautiful countries, although Finland is pretty flat for much of it's length. I worked my through both and Norway about 10 years ago and it was great. The mosquitos are indeed a nightmare though.

I believe I've read that the body can learn not to react to the bites in the same way, but clearly that would take a lot longer than one would have on a trip.
