Rheinmetall said they will ramp up production to 600k shells a year so they will still need to source supplies from other countries to close out the gap (unless any of the old socialist countries can domestically produce 152's and other comparable soviet era shells)?

Them russian helis aren't that reliable afaik. Usually catch fire mid flight.

Whilst I completely wholeheartedly agree. We supposedly cant afford what we have as it is. I mean our own forces training is suffering because we dont have enough ammunition to train as we would like. W struggle to get range time unless for operational need. It would be interesting how they could spin ramping up production and holding significant reserves, I fear it would be a hugely unpopular move owing to current economic conditions.Things like production of munitions needs to seriously be ramped up again in this country.
