It has.

* Crimea: invaded and annexed in 2014
* Donbass: invaded in 2014

Both regions are sovereign Ukrainian territory. They are literally Ukraine.

It was in response to his discission about the current situation where talks are being held...but you feel you need to take it out of that context and start some other discussion

Russian propaganda has gone into overdrive: 'Russian disinformation frenzy seeds groundwork for Ukraine invasion.'

Putin's puppet media channels are now blaming Ukraine for the shelling inflicted on the Ukrainians by Russia.

Ok so then why does Biden even agreed to meet Putin if he has not yet invaded Ukraine? Because according to you - it has already been invaded. So

A) Biden is an idiot
B) It's a meeting that never can happen, we're just trolling
C) In current situation, we do not care about prior invasion of Crimea and Donbass and are talking about here and now.

The current situation is about Russia further invading Ukraine, you would think Ukraine would be included in any talks about Ukraine being invaded further

For someone who doesn't think very highly of Putin you seem to get very agitated about any criticism of what Russia are up to...

I get agitated by our Western stupidity that allows Putin to entrench himself in Russian politics and support even further.

Does that make sense to you?

Ukraine hasn't been invaded.....

LOL Wat??? What do you think happened to their Navy btw...?

Ukraine should be allowed to join NATO immediately and then, NATO can defend the country...before it gets swallowed up by the Ruskies

Agreed. Very smart move for multiple reasons quite frankly. Since Russia is technically already invaded Ukraine. We can trigger article 5 immediately upon their acceptance.

So declare war on Russia immediately. Then we can proceed to steam-roll Russians with no issues what so ever.

Steam roll the Russians? With who's army? Any real threat to Russia and the nukes start flying

Kinda fascinating watching. Essentially theater for the peons with exposition and pointed questions from Putin to his deputy. As though he doesn't know the answer himself already.

Russian MOD is going after the whole 'Zelenskiy said they'll create nuclear weapons' at Munich Meeting. I said it was such a dumb move by Zelenskiy.

Right now while speaking to the staged Putin meeting.

Well you explain that to the person I responded to. Because if I do, I'd be labelled pro putin again.

It's more the way your posts come across. They've been off pretty much from the start in here and have got steadily worse.

You disagree with the West, disagree with Ukraine, disagree Putin but do not want to see Russia taken into war?

No they shouldn't be anywhere near being in NATO; why would we want to get involved in an immediate war?
Far better that we leave Ukraine as a buffer zone and start to build up defensive forces in Eastern Europe; Poland, Germany, Czech Republic and Romania along with the Baltic States.
Its clearly time for all of the NATO allies (in particular the European ones) to pull their weight with military spending, whether its Russia or China; uncertain geopolitics are back and the enemy isn't a group of rag-tag militants in a few tents with some camels like most of the last 20 years.

No I do not want to see Russia taken into war. You know why? Because once we turn them into North Korea/Iran. They will become even more dangerous, because they will have nothing to lose. Putin's position will be set in total concrete. They will push for NATO countries that were part of Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact. Our commitment to Article 5 will be put into question.

Is it really that difficult to believe that there is a person who thinks everything happening right now is a lose lose situation for everyone? Do I have to take someones sides to seem credible? Are we that far gone as society.

So from watching Russian security council meeting the message here for the populace and the west is that Russia is going to recognise independence Donbas republics. This probably means formal entry of Russian forces into the territory, which is de jure invasion of Ukraine. Doesn't look like they will go for Kyiv but it all depends on Ukrainian response when Russian forces will formally enter Donbas as opposed to supporting separatists informally/covertly.
