You don't think it was part of the script in that charade ?
You should look at the exchange, look how putin responded and how the SVR head **** his pants - then tell me if that was staged
You don't think it was part of the script in that charade ?
I believe this is a possible off ramp for everyone to save face.
Of course he doesn't. He's happy to preach to others about not taking things at face value but then he'll happily do it when it suits his agenda.
As someone else said, his posts in this thread have been "off" from the start.
You could almost envision Putin holding a gun to his head during that exchange lmao.
Again, people like you is reason why cant have off ramp situation.
The ‘chap’ was spanked by Putin immediately. Yet you parrot this nonsense as his POV is taken serioisly
I read the Duma were putting pressure on Putin (as much as "coming cap in hand" to the boss can be seen as pressure) to declare those areas independent.
Just need to think of a way for Zelinsky to sell it to the Ukrainians, this is the least worse option. Although I also read Zelinsky is bank rolled by some oligarch that hates Putin with a passion (dude looks like an old friendly English teacher) so I doubt his masters are going to want him to be seen to be capitulating.
No it is people like putin.
Avoiding immediate conflict would be great - but this may open another front elsewhere if this nonsense is accepted.
You do realise that Putin's response wasn't him disagreeing, he simply said "We're not talking about it yet".
i would rather go into a war with a general who doesnt want war and have very persimistic view on his own position and plan accordingly than a general who think he will crush the enemy with ease and overly optimistic.Hi Vladimir.
Golf War and other more recent ventures....
I cant believe we’re arguing about this. Even you saw irritation and anger Putin had for that statement.
‘We’re not talking about it yet’ means no.
LNR and DNR are also going to be decided if free republics today but everyone knows its a yes
Putin asked Duma to sell it to him so he looks reasonable and fair and that it is the will of the Russian people not his will.
How can he refuse such a request?
Ah ah ah
maybe stop posting rubbish from sub 1k Twitter accounts that you consider trustworthy.Jeez you lot are a tough gig at times
I'm happy to see you're so easily convinced, it makes sense.
Declaring ALL Donbass as such would not be off ramp at all and subject Russia to every single sanction as if they invaded WHOLE UKRAINE.
Again, people like you is reason why cant have off ramp situation.
The ‘chap’ was spanked by Putin immediately. Yet you parrot this nonsense as his POV is taken serioisly
Honest question, can you explain the difference?
I assumed Putin was looking at Donesk, Luhansk and Crimea to being into the fold. Is the Donbass region more than these areas?
I also assumed the West would struggle to justify getting involved if it was just these areas - as they are geuinely contested by those that live there.
Regarding hot wars I completely agree.Russia has its own economical partners - namely china and half of mid-east and other associates.
bigger economy doesnt guarantee you victory
Korean War, Vietnam War, Golf War and other more recent ventures....
Except I wasn't talking about the guy who got rebuked. That chap said those regions should become part of Russian. No, the guy I was talking about was saying when they declare independence they should have their original borders. Putin didn't say anything about that.
Not close enough it seems. The stream is still up - he went off message about saying they should be part of the Russian federation after spluttering an answer Putin didn't like. Putin told him that's not what they are talking about, yet.The chap that was spanked was the one who said WHOLE Donetsk and Luhansk regions should be recognized - not within their current borders. He was the one who was spanked. I watched it live on RT translated.
