May as well be bots as they just post Russian propaganda and pretend it's truth, arguably the same things bots do.

People have constantly pointed out how wrong Roar is and yet nothing changes, so I admire their perseverance, but I wonder why they bother trying.
I genuinely think that throwing something 'edgy' into a/the forums and then watching and encouraging the fallout is a form of entertainment for him/her.

I don't take any notice anymore.

Russian TV pundit starts rationalising why Ukrainians view their future in Europe as better than a future with Russia, and the host has to quickly to shut him down and tell him to stop saying on TV that living conditions in Russia is worse than Eastern Europe but the pundit doesn't stop and reiterates that Russia has nothing to offer Ukrainians and the host and other pundits start panicking and tell him to shut up

Windows in Europe are also a lot a safer, as this pundit will be finding out soon.

Is realisation lowly sinking in?

Are the Russian people aware Putler is possibly the wealthiest man in the world? and that his wealth was murderously stolen from the some of the poorest people he claims to represent.

He's been on the show a few times and has been critical like this.

Not sure how he's still alive tbh.
Sometimes in places like Russia it's useful to the government/leader to have someone like him because they can say "see we're not suppressing free speech" or "we're not stopping the media saying stuff about us", whilst quietly noting who might agree with him and who doesn't attempt to stop him fast enough.

Yup, he's probably a scripted "dissenter".

Most likely that is the case, not much gets said on Russian state television that's been pre planned or rehearsed. Even so that is still quite some admission to say that Russia offers a much crappier deal for Ukrainians then what they would otherwise get from the west, that would never have flown back in the USSR, saying that kind of thing would have lead to this:

Without any irony Grim5 mocks the Russian TV host for shutting down someone with a dissenting view, while a few posts prior hysterically screaming for people to block all discussion points from myself. The hypocrisy and ignorance on display is about the level I've come to expect in this thread though.

Discussion points != misleading throwaway comments, many of which have little basis in reality even when you exclude pro-Western bias from the mainstream take.

Talk is cheap, lets see if they can deliver in full.

Germany is really stepping up support for Ukraine.

Well done Germany. We need to do the same.
I applaud Germany for stepping up. Unfortunately there isnt a whole lot more of substance we can really provide, at least in the way of existing equipment. Definitely not without seriously leaving ourselves even more short handed than we already are. We still need to be able to train and operate as an effective force. You have to understand the absolute dire state of our own training and operational fleets, how depleted they are, and the struggle to secure enough ammunition to conduct training as it is. We really shouldnt be leaving ourselves in such a compromised position, not until the government seriously and measurably increases investment in our own defense. We may not have the wolf at the door. However, in these uncertain and increasingly volatile times, its extremely short-sighted and stupid to leave ourselves in a position of absolute weakness.

As much as I sympathise Ukraines position. We should focus on what we can deliver, we should continue to lobby, to support equipment/ammunition orders, whilst increasing our own production capacity, and continue to provide training etc.

We could more I feel. More Star streak, NLAW some AS90’s guided munitions and start some 105 and 155 shell production. Sorting out Brimstone 3 production would be great move.

Do we even have M982? We've already heavily depleted our stocks of NLAW and Starstreak. Production dosnt just happen, standard shell 105/155 has been upped IIRC, but that will be all but a drop in the ocean unless there is significant investment in production lines, which will never happen unless there is long term contracts to produce at a significantly increased rate put in place.
Likewise for Brimstone... Contracts! What we have in place is just enough to meet current training and operational commitments. These are private companies contracted to produce a certain amount per year. None of this will happen without significant investment in defense budgets.
