Surely a strongly worded letter is a minimum? Ineffectiveness aside, just thought there would be more rumblings from them.
Even with the threat or use of veto in the past, someone usually pipes up.
Couldn't Russia itself veto it?

Some apologists on here talking like Russia had no choice but to invade a sovereign nation that literally posed zero threat to them. Obviously and clearly the opposite being true. They'll probably throw out some whataboutisms about Iraq or Afghanistan not understanding that saying that makes them hypocrites too.

The only thing they can do is make this as painful as possible for the Russians.
We/America stuck Nukes on their borders, have forward bases close to them, and then tried to close off one of their points of access to the sea by getting close to Ukraine. That's just the stuff that is in the open. God knows what else goes on behind closed doors.

The whole point of the UN is to avoid conflict between major powers. Majors powers have permanent security council veto powers exactly for that. (this structure is extremely outtraded though as it was built during post ww2 realities)

No that was my opinion a week ago. They did not invade a week ago that was misinformation. A week later things have changed just like one time Iraq has wmds then they don’t.
I didn’t expect them to invade that’s the truth but things have changed. If this is an invasion then I’m wrong. Plenty of people have got things wrong in this thread and plenty of others.
Serve me up some of that humble pie gentlemen.

I've seen the reports and possibly some footage of this, but then don't understand why Ukraine isn't shelling the **** out of the convoy attempting to cross or launching attacks on it.
Perhaps they are and it's not being reported, but what is reported is just sounding like Russian and Belorussian convoys are just strolling in on a Sunday drive.
