Yep definitely, thats pretty much what i mean't in my last post. Even if he is not ill, he i old as you say and he probably just wants to cause some chaos on his way out.

You haven't provided any evidence of alleged Western hostility towards Russia that would justify the invasion of Ukraine. You haven't even explained how that's a rational response to alleged Western hostility.
 
Putin public opinion back home is close to zero. A good invasion is just what he thinks some nationalistic nonsense will help him out for another 10years.

Let the sanctions do their stuff, it's not 1945 anymore the world has changed economic power is a force thanks to everyone wanting more useless stuff.

Putin is an individual, you're quoting a post talking about Oligarchs (plural) and replying to it to talk about Putin?

Also I wouldn't say he isn't bothered - why do you think he moved his yacht out of Germany a few days ago?
 
unless the west invokes full sanctions today, then putin will see how weak they are and nothing will stop him rolling onto more non nato countries
 
Ukraine invasion in a nutshell.

I declare Chuk Chuk's garage is now independent and I shall be moving my stuff in later today.

Sometime next week I am going to send in the boys and take over the whole house, just because I don't want him sign up to a John Lewis Loyalty card.

They lost over 300000 people to the pandemic so far,so its almost like he is trying to have a crisis in place so he can deflect from that.

Yes. Ukraine has had a working agreement with NATO since 1992, and joining NATO has long been one of her political goals.

Ukrainians have always known that NATO membership would offer ironclad protection from Russia. And... here we are.

You think the west had no involvement in Ukraine prior to all of this?

What kind of involvement? Western involvement with Ukraine has been perfectly normal, as far as I can tell. Why would you be concerned about Western involvement with Ukraine?

It's one crazy man Vs a coalition of self interested western countries.

Sanctions are useless they hurt exporters as much as Russia.

A NATO response will give him carte blanche to be as crazy as he wants.

You can't bargain with a madman.

You panda to him try and look like you're tough too.

Crap situation. All we can do is start ww3.

Sanctions really don't matter, they are used as posturing for the West to pretend they are doing something.
Maria Zakharova was laughing to the press about sanctions yesterday. They really don't care.
