There won't be a war with Russia not sure about energy supplies though, expect interest rates to plummet again

Perhaps a bit of both, they're not as capable of fighting at night or conducting precision strikes.

As eventually will other places if we don't take decisive action.

We should have sanctioned Putin's cronies into oblivion when they amassed troops on the border and only relented if they de-escalated and took diplomacy seriously. However, the Conservatives couldn't do that, but Biden should have.

Exactly, Russia knew how to make giant Nuclear bombs back in the 1950`s and they are clearly dirty liars who kept Novachok nerve agent and god knows what other nasties.

The west have known exactly what has been going on, its just frustrating that our media are so hopeless and accept everything they're told.

Tbf they have been saying an invasion could happen. But it's like they are impotent.

Yep. There isnt anything anyone could do or could have done about it in reality. Putin was never going to stand for them joining NATO, and he knows the west/Nato won't use their military againts Russia over Ukraine for fear of all war between the west and Russia.

The only thing protecting Ukraine was Russia's fear of economic repurcussions/global standing, but i guess Putin just doesnt care about that anymore. Maybe their economy was worse hit by covid/oil prices dropping during it than anyone thought and they dont have much to lose.

Yes we are impotent in the same way that you're impotent while someone is holding a gun to your head robbing the bank you're in, that's the reality, we can shoot the bank robber but he will also shoot us dead, so there isn't the opportunity to stop the bank robbery without everyone losing their lives.

They are not impotent. In a conventional war, NATO would no doubt pummel Russia.

But it would be horrendous and would it be worth destroying the world over Ukraine? I know that sounds bleak and harsh on Ukraine, but that is the reality of the situation.
 
Wouldn’t the US absolutely maul the Russians in a conventional war? (without nukes or chemical weapons)

From what I’ve seen from the limited clips the equipment looks dated, and their troops not the best trained.
