You think putin could arrest 2 million activists in red square?

If even 1 million sat down in civil disobedience in red square there is nothing the police could do.

And they would quickly realise that it is the people who have the real power.

Putin always pulls his **** around some sort of Olympics. I think it's some sort of in joke or obsessions with him.

That's why they stop them even at small numbers, to prevent more and more people coming out.
They know if they let even a small amount of people protest, the numbers will get bigger and bigger.

They should apply for a permit to protest in advance, I'm sure Russia would approve it.

They have cause to be afraid, don't forget we protested against the decisions of a democratically elected government, they are protesting against the decisions of an authoritarian dictatorship.

Not really true. The entire concept of the internet was to provide robust communication network within a nuclear war, with the specific ability to send nuclear launch codes to missile silos even when most cities and hubs are taken out.

Peripheral WWW infra, is susceptible (e.g bombing an AWS data centre), but the basic internet is robost, certainly within a continent.

Been my fear all along.
If he does have some terminal illness, and he's depraved enough to kill so many of his own and Ukraine why not just go whole hog?

Unless someone within his inner circle steps in, I still think all option outcomes are a possibility.

What do you expect him to do? Tell Putin that if he doesn't wind it in China will stop selling them goods or buying their raw materials/oil/gas? China depends on Russia buying their exports and supplying them with materials/fuels a lot more than Europe does.
