Bielsa is a great example of not needing to speak the language to get your point across. As long as they have someone that can translate well. You need the players to make the effort though..

I know one of the lads who does a Leeds Podcast and he said that as soon as the cameras have stopped rolling Bielsa speaks very VERY good English. Might be a confidence thing or it might just stop him having to answer questions. The players seem to understand him well enough.

You say that like Spurs have a load of youth coming through, they don't. Arsenal have the better kids for the future.

I am talking about financial clout. They have one of the best stadiums in the country and have been in the champions league 4 out of the past 5 years and have a lot of really good young players to build around. Arguably all of Arsenal's decent first team players are 30+.

A great Captain he was, but Tony Adams shouldn't be near Arsenal in a coaching capacity.

As for Emery, it was inevitable, there were just too many alarming signs in this situation. Not just the results or atrocious level of football, but lack of willingness to adapt: e.g the constant need to play out from the back despite getting caught out every game and without the personnel to play that way. For years we have had a group(s) of players only too willing to shoot themselves in the kneecap, and far from alleviating this collective malaise, Emery augmented it. He implemented none of the verve of his Sevilla side, didn't seem able to get his ideas across and proved to be the wrong man for the task.

Maybe not as an assistant, but it's hard to believe the club can't find a role for Tony at the club.

The Currant Bun is suggesting Freddie might call in Gilberto to help out.
