Unai says goodbye, Mikel says hello

The issue here is, if the fans (and when I say fans I mean the toxic lot like AFTV) don't get their 'big name' manager then any appointment like Howe or Nuno will just be seen negatively again.

Someone like Allegri would be the standout candidate... but winning everything in Italy with Juve is like winning everything in France with PSG. Not much of an achievement.

Pochettino would do a good job. He was tasked with the same thing at Spurs. Take a struggling team around 8-6 and make then a top 4 club. He achieved it. He would have to start again at Arsenal.

The recruitment at Spurs during his time at the club was excellent. Much better than the rubbish we signed. Xhaka and Mustafi to name just two.

But he was sacked at the end of the day for the same reasons as Unai.

Which group would that be exactly?? Surely it won’t be as laughable when Mou gets the sack from Spurs at some point.

The group that openly mocked and disrespected their manager. The same core that failed to dig in when Wenger was having issues.

The problem is the board and players, but you can't sack them.

All Spurs fans know what they're getting with Mourinho and only see it as a short term thing, if he gets sacked we'll live.

If Mourinho was available you'd be screaming out for him. Do Arsenal fans really want Eddie Howe? His name came up for Spurs and I panicked.

It would be peak arsenal to replace a negative manager with an even more negative one.

I’d honesty rather Wenger back than Mourinho.

I want Rodgers. Just give him whatever he wants.

And Rebel, don’t start attacking fellow fans. We had enough of that crap during Wengers reign. All of us want the best for our club, but we have different ideas on how to achieve that.
Said no to Mou before Poch was even sacked.

Lol not a chance in hell would I want Mou, hell can freeze over before I’d ever have him at Arsenal. Due to his past disrespect of Arsenal and Wenger.
But you lot are more than welcome to him, he’s toxic and you can see that with his management at Utd and Chelsea.
Not keen on Eddie Howe myself, I’d rather have Poch or even Rodgers but if none of them are available, at this point I’d take Howe.
As I said previously he can’t be any worse than Emery and if he is given the job, then he may be able to get these players playing well. Same with Ljungberg at the moment.

If I could have anyone it would be Simeone, but that's never gonna happen. So I hope Freddie does well and gets the job, or they give it to Vieira. Don't really understand the Arteta thing, he wasn't an Arsenal legend, he was our captain for a bit, but hardly played well for us.

I imagine it's going to have to be someone who's either a free agent or won't cost the earth to take from their club, coming after all that summer spending and paying off Emery and his team. Freddie doesn't even have a team (they're roping in Per Mertesacker to help tomorrow) and it's unclear if he's even got the required qualifications to be head coach full-time, so on that basis I'd rather a replacement was made sooner rather than later, especially with the fixture list after the next few games.

Don't see arsenal getting Rodgers way he has leicester playing, plus right now I'd say it's a step down
Have to agree. They will have Champions league and are looking like contenders if the usual big big 6 continue the way they are going. They're probably better than when they won the league.
