Now this kind of attitude is what gets these threads closed and deleted. Normally i'd try and avoid it when theres big controversy but i had to get in on this.

How can you be happy as an Arsenal fan with the way your players reacted? I mean everyone says that Van Nistelrooy dives, but at the end of the day most forwards do help to influence the referees descision. Its just Ruud gets far more attention because hes so good. Plus if everyone goes on about the reaction that Ruud gives, what was the reaction at the end? He simply walked off the pitch and ignored it totally.

In my personal opinion the penalty was probably a bit harsh cos it was a bit 50/50 and no one would have said very much had it not been a penalty. Just a shame Nistelrooy missied. Its a shame that these types of games get over awed by the controversy as opposed to the chances missed and the decent football.

I think Arsenal got lucky as they didnt really deserve the point, Howard didnt really have to do very much. As for Vieira he deserved to go, first yellow, i'd agree it may have taken more than that one challenge for his name to go in the book but a booking is fair. Same with the second a booking a piece is probably about right. Vieira came off worse and then lashed out.

But it's the past which has caused it. A punch by DvN, his attitude in other matches, overeactions, a some of the things Keown has done.
 
Finein players and suspensions is probably the right way to go rather than points deductions although the FA did deduct points a few years ago when a brawl broke out between Arsenal and UTD. The push on Van nistelrooy and maybe when keown caught ruud need lookng at.

And i want to know why vieira decided to charge through several players to kick off on someone.

****ing disgusting, outrageous, I hope the FA come down like a ton of bricks on the bunch of cheating, bullying, viscious ****s, should have ended that game with about 3 men on the field.

I said Arsenal were going down, they are, celebrating a draw shows they know it, I'd have never known that they were previous champions, they were ****. Sadly we werent much better.
 
I just seen some of the incidents again and heres my view on it.

Our players were too up for it, what happened at the end of the match shouldn't of happened. We will get fine and maybe suspensions because of that and I can't say we don't deserve that. We shouldn't of reacted like that, we have no one but ourselves to blame if something happens.

DvNs lunge on Vieira was bad though, that was bang out of order by him but paddy shouldn't of reacted at all.

I think what some people don't realise is that our players screaming and shouting at DvN wasn't over this one match, he has cheated us in other matches as well, I think our players reacting like they did was because of this, especially Keown who has a history with DvN. Like when DvN tried to take him out in the first minutes at OT last season, or how when he stamped on keown and when keown pushed him over Keown was charged for the incident. Don't forget his punch on Freddie in our double season, for any who have forgot about it I have a clip of it on my Hardisk. HOWEVER, our players were still wrong.

Still haven't seen the penalty incident clearly, from the angles I have seen it just seemed both went for the ball and nothing more. I thought it was harsh.

Why was Fortune not sent off for barging into Lehmann when he had the ball, he was on a yellow and that challenge was easily a bookable offense.

Wengers comments at the end were funny as well, he said DvN is a great player but is always looking for a dive and trying to provoke players. Which is true...... He didn't say though DvN dived in this match, so lets not twist his comment eh ;) His last comment was hillarious though "It is strange that we are always playing against angels"

Bossman, Man utd just huffed and puffed, how many clear chances did they have? The point was a fair result.

Why should we only have 3 men left? The game would have to replayed cause once it's 7 it's a null game.

So we draw away, after a poor mid week game, played for 15/20mins with 10 men against the Champions

You were disgusting, there was hardly anyone who wasnt going in there, pushing, fighting, scrapping and generally having a right old go at our players.

And your not half the team you were two years ago. Wolves played better than you did, you did well to get a point, we struggled to get the chances on the goal, we gifted you loads and you did nothing.

We aren't half the team we were? You were pretty poor today as well, hell i'd say portsmouth gave us a tougher game than you did.

We had harsh tackling, rough digs at your players. No one was pushing you about and hitting people off the ball..

We haven't played Wolves and don't forget that we easily won our first 4 matches. Don't get too carried away just yet ;). You were at home and didnt impose yourselves against our terrible defence. A point away at your heaviest rivals is not a bad day out to be honest.

Yep, have to agree with you about the end of the game there, but in the past your players are as equally to blame as Van Nistelrooy, c'mon Keown isnt really the cleanest of footballers is he? Nether is Vieira. You cant lay the blame on Van Nistelrooy saying he deserved it.

As for the sending off i'd agree Ruud landed hard and got the booking he deserved but Vieira got his deserved booking too for the lunge.

The penalty incident as i've said maybe was a bit harsh, 50/50 at most but i'd like to see it again, as with the Fortune lunge at Lehman, couldnt really see it on Sky but it doesnt mean i'm arguing your point. As for Wenger i couldnt really care what he says he seems in a world of his own sometimes.

Obviously you'd take a point, as would I due to the fact it was tight and neither team looked like a blatent winning side. I personally thought we were slightly better but thats because we were playing at home and you seemed to be playing for the counter attack. Just a dam shame the controversy spoils it all.

I don't blame either of the players tbh. I blame the FA. If they had been more harsh/actually did something it could have been different. I.e. watch the punch, the FA didn't even look at it. If they had they AFC might have felt he was punished and not reacted.
