**Unofficial Tyre Thread**

We can all share the pain together. Sounds like prices are similar to when I bought CSC7 but for the Mustang about 18 months ago. It cost me a smidge over £900 (Front - 265/35 R20 £422.82 and Rear - 305/30 R20 £479.50). And that was on top of the fact I had bought new RTR wheels to use them on... at a cost of £1,600. Ouch. Worth it though.

I managed to find them fitted for £739 (285/30YR20 rear, 265/30YR20 front). Although that was F1 Autocentre who damaged my wheels, although they ended up paying out for the refurb I'd have rather avoided all of that.

Fortunately anything decent is around £140-150 each on anything I drive (all 18" but different profiles), someone at work has only slightly different size tyres on their car and anything decent starts at like £260!

I think most new tyres aren't great. Expected life from the Asymmetric 6s on the 320d are 9-11k and that just does motorway miles.

Will just have to see how they they are on the local A roads. I could also get a few extra miles out of them if I was a little more sensible. However, it's not the sort of thing you purchase & then look for a sainthood once you hit the go button

Really? I've done far and away the majority of the 55k in my Focus on a pair of Asymmetric 5's. The other pair were replaced about 3-5k ago mind.

Mine rarely leaves Comfort. If I need a quick overtake I’ll put it into Sport mode and it automatically drops a couple of gears, but I think I’ve used Sport+ maybe twice in three years.
Yeah I used to put it in sport mode for the vroom vroom but petrol's expensive lol
The bigger flex is the mpg in a 3L turbo
