Contact7s or CC 2s?
Sport Contact 7? big difference between the application of those 2 tyres.

I know, I was wondering if the CCs are worth it here in England compared to the Sport Contacts.
So we have Cross Climate 2 on our 'daily cars' - my Wife's 2017 Touran R-Line and my 2006 Mk5 Golf GTI - and then I've just swapped from Pilot Sport 4S to Continental Sport Contact 7 on my 987 Cayman S.
I haven't had much chance to really push on with the CSC7, I'll be going on a drive first weekend of the month to give them a proper play, but initial impressions are positive. They feel good, and they were notably cheaper than the PS4S.
The Cross Climate 2 we have had on our daily cars for quite some time. We had the CC2SUV on our Discovery 3 and Discovery 4 that came before the Touran. They're simply a brilliant all round tyre. When I see people saying 'I don't have all season/winter tyres as it only snows twice a never' they're completely missing the point.
yep
they are better in winter than summer tyres at lower temperatures, yes they are 10 fold better in snow, but ice temps they work much better
Do they wear out quicker than a summer tyre?
I've got Goodyear Vector4s and I've found they're actually lasting longer than my previous Pilot Sports.Do they wear out quicker than a summer tyre?

After switching to them last year, I doubt I'd go back to anything else now. I've not noticed a performance loss over the summer, but over the winter they're massively better. This morning with the ice, I had no problems whereas I saw several other cars sliding all over the place.
Just remember all-seasons aren't ice tyres - sure they do better on ice than summer tyres but it is cold, rain and snow where they excel.
Run flats by any chance? What car is it?Im in need of new front tyres. Tyre size 215 /45 R17
Current tyres on all 4 are Yokohoma BlueEarth GT ae51 tyres. Only down side about these tyres, they're loud.
the CCs arent so good in wet conditions, but your right about ice and snow
