**Unofficial Tyre Thread**

Might need to reconsider sliding the car around at every given opportunity :o

I was planning to keep these PSS a little longer as - even though they're **** - there's lots of tread left. Might need to get some CS7s in the spring now :(

I got a pair of Michelin Cross Climate 2 put on the rears this week. Previous pair were a budget brand with offside perishing and nearside running flat.

Costco couldn’t get the locking wheel nut off one off the wheels, so it’s going to have to be drilled out today by Barkers Motor Works.

Overtightened by BMW, and while not covered under the AUC warranty, the dealer I bought the car from are covering it.

Pair of Michelin (can't recall the range) on the front 4 years old but no related advisory in the MOT. The offside does deflate a few PSI over the course of a week or so.
Assuming the fronts are at least all seasons of some sort as well?

Back on Asymmetric 6s. Damn, they are such good tyres.

They maximise steering feel on EPAS racks and have tonnes of grip, while not compromising comfort.

Wouldn’t go near anything else for the road when these exist.

Only thing is that they wear quite quickly. I think on the 320d I wasn’t due to get more than 10k miles out of the rears

Lovely. Looking forward to when I switch to the AS6.

Currently on Pirelli All season Runflats, which are great for grip but a harsh ride.

Yep, I'm going back to them when the CSC7's are done, which won't be long....

Unless the cracks are perishing (which it probably isn't, just tearing) what are you worried about? It looks way above the tread markers (top of the image) at the moment.

4degC, fog, wet, winter mush and potholed, and the CC2s are showing they have loads of grip compared to the P4s. No skipping, positive control and shore-footed breaking.
Happy with purchase.

I assumed the tears would be a bad thing. Never mind then :)

Very impressed with the CSC7 tyres

Running 4 of them on my S4 and not had any moments yet. They are not horrendously priced and have coped with all the weather has had to throw at them this far, all bar very snowy conditions. Saying that I wouldn't expect them to excel given they are not winter tyres by any means anyway.

Hmm, tyres for the wifes Yaris Cross, the continental eco contact 5 have lasted 22k, time for something different.
Narrowed it down to Goodyear efficient performance or efficient grip performance 2....
This is where my confusion starts, the 2 is £1 more per corner.
However, the 1 is A rated wet, A rated economy, where the 2 tyre is B for both.

So buy the .... older tyre? feels like I am missing something.

Side note, interesting video above, currently an extra £40 per corner for PS4s vs Sport contact 7 my way, which I have been mulling over for a while on the Mustang. Think I will just go for most convenient at the time.
