**Unofficial Tyre Thread**

Fix the ride height then? It'll look crap that low anyway.

Yeah I was contemplating on doing so. Would it make a big difference if I kept the tyres at 225?

Do you have a new car thread Vita, get anywhere with the Civic?

No new car thread. Sold the civic, valve dropped. Honda couldn't do anything for me, so I've taken it on the chin.

They couldn't get their machine to connect to the OBD port, yet my £5 scanner would. Said I was at fault for over-rev/timing chain, timing chain seemed fine.

Poo of a dealership.

Needed a new tyre for my car, picked up a conti premium 5 in 205/55/16 v for £64.98 fitted via black circles, thought that was quite a good deal.

Was tempted my the RS3 but I have a PC5 on the other side.

Strangely the premium 2 is more expensive???

Can anyone suggest me some tyres in 225/45/17? I need 94 W rated XL ones.

I'm stuck between Goodyear EGP, F1AS2 or some continentals!

Thanks

called bridgestone asking about the re003

nobody there knew what I was on about, their technical department assured me the re002 had just come out and was the pinnacle of tyre technology.

despite the tyre not being available for the rear size of my car.

Any issues with mismatching front/rear tyres?

Need new rears, but thinking about asking for the front (pilot sport 3's with plenty of tread) to be put on the rear and then have new Eagle F1 As2 on the front to see what they're like.
(Civic Type R)
From what I've read, the Eagles seem to be more grippy than the PS3's?

Vs the PS3? I don't think that's the case. The PS3 are not in the same performance class as PS2/PSS.

Same thing happened when the RE002 was new, they had no idea. Pretty terrible internal communication from the largest tyre manufacturer in the world. I'll be getting another set of RE002s then.....

Got 4 Michelin Pilot Super Sport on the 350z at the weekend, was orginally supposed to be Eagles but theres at least a 6 week delay on the size required, so ended up spending a bit more for the Michelins.
Seem pretty decent so far.

Somewhat confused here... Getting to the point where I need to change all the tires on the 1 series, was planning on getting shot of the run flats as they are dire, but looking at blackcircles it's only giving me the option of runflats or reinforced tyres. Do I actually need reinforced tyres if I'm changing from runflats?

It's a 116i, F20, tyre sizes are 225/45/17 on the front and 245/40/17 on the back. Any recommendations or advice?
