dunno if i will bother with having tyres delivered. once i factor in fitting price its usually the same or cheaper to get it from places like f1autocentre or halfordsautocentres.
although iv noticed for some reason a general increase in tyre prices all round. dunno why this is though.
I'm going to need a full set of tyres for the clio 182 i've just bought. Trouble is there doesn't seem to be much out there in the tyre size i need, at least not the latest release of tyres anyway.

Michelin PS3
Goodyear Eagle F1 A2
ContiSportContact 2
Hankook V12 Evo 2
PZero Nero GT
Car is for driving to work in mostly, but there are some nice country lanes that allow it to be driven a little harder (which i do if traffic allows). The T1R's on it at the minute don't fill me with confidence, especially in the wet.
Cliosport forum seem to recommend PS3 or V12 mainly, but having had PS3 in the past, i'm struggling to commit. The F1 A3 i've got an other car are pretty good, but again i'm struggling to commit to the older A2.
What tyre would be best for fast road use, that isn't going to be dangerous in the wet?
I would suggest rainsport3s. I had a full set on my 172, and I pushed it hard most days
Never had any grip issues and in the wet was great
What would you recommend for a clio 182 that doesn't get used in the rain only the dry? so don't mind sacrificing wet performance at all just very good in the dry.
Just an update on the Yoko V105s that I've had on for 5000 miles now.
The wet and dry grip really is for want of a better word 'mad'. The car has F1AS2's on a second set of wheels and even though they're undoubtedly great tyres and are my second set on 2 cars, they just don't seem to have the same grip, especially in the wet.
The only downside to this is the wear. It's not good. And I'm wearing the fronts out quicker than the rears on a RWD car (MX5) which is a first.
Without reading back through all the pages... What are the general thoughts on the Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance and the F1 Asymmetric 3?
Need 2 new fronts for my Octavia VRS and not sure what to go for. Those 2 tyres look good on paper for the price.
