Oh, so they literally haven't started making it. They're just announcing that they're gonna make it with community assistance from the start? That's cool

I think this is going to be both an exciting and fascinating process
If I understand correctly they are essentially going to be making the game in a very very open way, as in it's essentially going to be a crash course on making a game using the Unreal Engine.
The forum is up today and then they will be posting detailed info on their design processes and how they use the tools etc.
I might actually follow it may be interesting!

This might just get me back into modding. I started in UT99, worked on 2k4 a lot (part of the Jailbreak team) and worked in UT3 a lot during Uni.
Would love to see this evolve into something awesome! Better have UT99 quality music!

UT 99 was the best game ever.
No not at all, quake live wasnt a new game and it was in the browser it also had a payment model... this is a full brand new game that will be released for free, with no payment model.
I think this is going to be Unreal Tournament unbound
The sky is the limit! Sounds like 'Facing worlds' could be getting a UE4 make over as well

Cheers dude. Wish I had done more now looking back. Managed a few models and such for the UT3 Jailbreak but only really finished one map from memory.Wow amazing work mate

I think the fact that many original developers are going to be playing a part also shows how seriously Epic are taking this
On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the lowest) I'm probably hovering around a 10 Infinity
