US Open 2021

Federer is not.
Novak Djokovic is the greatest, and not only a tennis player, but maybe the greatest ever sportsman in any sport.

For me, in tennis, it is like:
1. Novak Djokovic;
2. Pete Sampras;
3. Roger Federer;
4. Rafael Nadal*?.
Calm down. I said arguably, and regardless that's not the point of this conversation. You jumped down someone's throat for using a colloquialism.

Can't see any way Evans can win this match, he's a couple of levels below Medvedev. Played pretty well to win 3 games in the first set tbh.

Edit: This is a really boring match, neither player looking for winners, just mistakes.

Just signed in to amazon account for the first time in yonks and it seems I can get yet another free Prime trial (I've never subscribed in my life). Should be worth it for the rest of this weeks tennis. :p

There's been a lot of coaching during matches this tournament, pretty obvious coaching too, yet for the most part nothing is done about it.

Raducanu should be on in around an hour, assuming Zverev wins in 3. Her first time on Arthur Ashe and playing an American so it'll be interesting to see how she deals with not being the crowd favourite for the first time in her career.

Edit: Only the 4th player to make the 4th round in majors back to back on her debut after Evert, Seles and Capriati. Hopefully she follows the success of the first two rather than the latter although 3 slams wouldn't be a bad career.

Raducanu and Fernandez are the two female players I've been most impressed with.

If they play each other in this tournament, it'll be in the final!

They've both got to get through very tough matches before that can happen though.

Awful match, Raducanu didn't play half as well as she did in the previous rounds but you can only beat what's in front of you and Rogers was abysmal tonight. Raducanu did show great tactical awareness though but Bencic should be a far harder test.

Djokovic just got wrecked in the first set 6-1, MTO incoming.

Edit: Interesting style of tennis by Brooksby, almost floats the ball over the net and asks his opponent to generate his own power.

Edit: 12th game is the single best game I've ever watched, 20 minutes for Brooksby to break.
