It takes way longer for me.

I want to try revanced but don't want to patch my main YouTube app. What I had was main app unpatched and vanced for watching random videos that won't mess up my feed.

Here's how I did it, maybe it could help you. It doesn't replace your YouTube app, it builds ReVanced.

Once you entered all the commands into Termux, it will launch the browser and follow the steps

When you get to this screen, select No

Then I selected the lasted stable version (17.38.36) and that's it

I've not had any issues with the official ReVanced builder. Just had to make sure you grab the 17.36.37 APK from APKMirror. You need to apply MicroG support for it to coexist with the unpatched version. I also picked Custom Branding so it comes with the ReVanced name and icon. The unofficial manager mentioned previously however works fine too, and even grabs the correct YouTube version for you.

Only thing not working is casting but I hardly cast these days, mostly just run SmartTubeNext on the TV themselves.

Thanks working so far but there's a big where pressing back button doesn't exit the app. I wonder if the manager can be used on YouTube TV (Yes I know there's SmartTube Next).
 
Noticed adverts seem to be popping up in my scroll feed more and an annoying bug where it I unlock the screen whilst content is playing, it acts as if it needs to buffer and I need to skip forward/backwards to get it back into action.
 
Oh, hold the phone.... Before I was getting adverts in listings but now I just got my first advert during a video.

Rip Vanced. Guess I'll try Revanced now then, even though it's in alpha :eek:

My vanced stopped working yesterday. Says my YouTube version is not up to date (it is). Will have a read through revanced stuff on here. If not I may move to Turkey !
 
Not having much joy getting cheap YT premium at the moment - the faffing with re-vanced is ok for my mobile/tablet, but my little one watches YT on the TV and as Vanced is dying - I think I'll have to bite the bullet and get YTP (had Vanced on the Shield)

Tried adding it via Argentina (I have SurfShark) but it comes up stating that YouTube Premium is not available in your country, so I switched to India - but regardless what I do, it says that is £11.99 a month! I get this same result if I select Turkey too.

Tried to create a new Google account, but that won't let me pass needing a phone to verify - and I'm assuming it might pick up on the fact I already have the number registered with my ancient GMail account I use.

Anyone else had issues getting a good price for the service?
