You can patch the YouTube APK yourself with the revanced manager:

Or people share pre-patched apks:

Vanced is no longer in development: https://www.reddit.com/r/Vanced/comments/tdazfr/discontinuation_of_the_vanced_project/

It still works but eventually YouTube will raise the working minimum app version before it forces you to "upgrade" to the latest version.

Alternatives to remove ads is either pay up for YouTube Premium, or if you don't mind not syncing your account, NewPipe:

https://newpipe.net/

There's also a fork of NewPipe with SponsorBlock:

https://github.com/polymorphicshade/NewPipe

If you have Android TV, there's SmartTubeNext:

https://smartyoutubetv.github.io/
Just use ublocker

Pretty sure that's what @smokedog is listing above, as that's the manager's patch screen - tbh though, even the patched APK can be very flaky; lots of black screens and slow to load content - I mainly use the Iceraven browser for YT now.

I was just supplying links and replying to @SideWinder who asked where they could get revanced

Personally I'm still using Vanced on my phone (and SmartTubeNext on my TV).
When it breaks, I'll probably just download some prepatched apks and try revanced or the extended version

I've been using Revanced Extended, I found that's more stable than the usual Revanced.

I did try Firefox with uBlock Origin but the app experience is more comfortable for me personally.

I'm still using Vanced too, mostly ok but it's definitely getting slowly more unstable for me. Occasionally slows down and then crashes. It's not enough to be unusable yet though

Never heard of the 'extended' one - sadly I just gave it a shot, and it has the same problems as a patched APK; just get a spinning circle as of the video is loading, and all content below is black.

This is a common issue right now, YouTube is blocking certain accounts. You can get it to work if you use a different account or use incognito mode. I had this problem but strangely its working again.

Still on vanced and all good here. Even the sponsorblock seems really good and works fine. Will keep using till it breaks.
