you will be very unlikey to get a sub 500 flight with Virgin at any time and Manchester will always cost more ( because everyone is desperate to leave

There is a weekly charter from Manc in summer , Thomas Cook I think

That's not too bad really- 530 inc connection on a virgin service from Gatwick..

Might have to get that snapped up

Well my mate mentioned he wanted to go to Vegas next year and I said I quite fancy it. I also figured I'd go see my brother in LA aswell so i'm now planning a two week holiday. Probably 4 days in Vegas and the rest in Los Angeles. As my mate is a teacher we can only go in August and I was just looking at a few of the hotels and none of them have August of next year available. Is Vegas shut or something?

some hotels book a year up front, many 10 months and some less

I haven't been to LA but general consensus seems to be that its a **** hole and you would be better with San Francisco or San Diego

I wouldn't worry too much about the hotels, the best rates are usually about 2-3 months in advance

in terms of what ? shows ?

If so Love, Ka, O and Mystere are prob the best maybe Jersey Boys too

There are a million ways of buying tickets the best shows usuallyu seel out so you may struggle there, having said that there have been some good offers this year if you get in early enough

fialing that there are discount ticket booths at various places but they don;t tend to have then best shows and the queues can be long

My parents are there now, I was thinking of sending them to see O, I went last year and really liked it.

I assume the only option this late is to go to a booth and pay full price.

O is good Love prob better, yes go to booth and see but they may find they are sold out

you could check online availabilty for them, save them wasting a trip
