So the Nomad I got at £200 - It's steep but cheap for a nomad :) I think im going to go full mod on it and either respray or restore the case.. havent worked that out yet... new buttons first and open it up to see what has been done to it is also on the cards.

Looking forward to lurking and watching the progress on this :). I love the Mega Drive, something special about Sega consoles. Not sure if it is purely nostalgia!! But I still regularly play my MD and Dreamcast :).

I'm under the impression these can be modded to play Sega CD games via MegaSD or the MED Pro. Thatvwould be pretty awesome.

If you can do it to a megadrive I recon you could likely do it to this. We shall find out what is inside soon enough. Ill wait until all the parts get here though. Got a few coming including the mega nomad board, It's all getting re-done regardless especially if they have bodge modded it.

Well looks like some repairs will have to happen this weekend. I am about 2 weeks behind on the queue :mad: Work and life getting in the way. Got another awesome handheld on the way that I found in europe and its faulty so thats going to be a good one and another pretty rare little thing :D But I need to clear some of the stuff people have sent me first. Ive got things like BMW car fobs that need new batteries but they need to be spot welded to a carrier so I got me a new toy :D its here but I havent used it yet, still got the laptop that needs a bit more love and then 2 game gears to fix up. Exciting stuff! Excited to show you my new toy thats on its way :)
 
You wont believe this in one of the boxes at auction were a load of these disney infinity character cards, last auction I threw about 30 of them away but this time I had 94 of them so thought I would throw them on ebay at a few £ starting price and see what happened. Last night a guy from the US got in touch and I sold them for a staggering £150. I have no idea what he saw in there but fair play. Set him up a new auction and he hit the buy it now button on all of them.

Yes! Good man do share!!! I have an SP in that auction lot... nice tidy one, the frontlit screen version and not the backlit one.. but it will be getting extensive mods! If you can buy the mod it will probably be getting it :cry:
 
First nomad mod got here so I decided to inspect the nomad before everything turns up. Turns out its completely stock on one of the boards had a little look over it and it looks pretty awesome. I'll grab the other board out and give it a look over tomorrow :D







It's got references to Venus on the mainboard so Venus, saturn.. shame we didn't get more planet based consoles!

I'm going to feel a bit bad modding this if its completely stock but I promise we are making it better!!

Mine is ok, i mean it works and holds a charge etc but it needs more. im thinking milled alloy buttons, fancy case, uprate the shoulder buttons and perhaps some power, led and lcd mods. Just go a bit mad on it for no other reason than it's rude not to.
 
While I'm waiting for more things to turn up I repaired these 3... two are all original with working original screens so left those two rocking along with just a quick restoration. The bottom one with funky button combo got the full ips mod treatment.





One of them was only purchased because it came with a copy of Mortal Kombat 2 :D

Probably should replace the lense on the middle one, it's scruffy!

Also not fully sold on button combo yet, might replace dpad with a red one, not sure.
