Make sure you are on the EU network as well
I've never had a problem in the past but over the past month or so I have had AWFUL packet loss and latency issues while gaming at peak times - specifically WoW. I can play during the day perfectly then as soon as 5PM hits my latency shoots up and the game is unplayable, same with games on XBOX Live.

thought i'd share my ping test from a couple of days ago, because from what i can see here no one is getting real problems at peak times
as you can see, i'm getting a pretty pants connection with virgin 50 meg. apparently they're fixing it next tuesday though
i would have let it finish, but after 10 mins of waiting i was sodding bored

VIRGIN SUPPORT ARE ****!!!!!!
Had slow speeds for the last week. Ring up the CS
30 minutes on the phone, he started remoting into my computer, going through my programs, running multiple speedtests, changing superhub options etc.
He told me to ring up this other phone number.
It's a UK call center.
1st call; 15 minutes on hold: He hung up on me after i gave him my phone number
2nd call: coudln't understand her for my life (I can understand Indians so much easier)
3rd call: I think it was the same guy from 1st call. After like a minute of trying to give him my phone number, he then said we are the PC support department and transferred me to Broadband support. After I told him I got told to ring this department from the BB support!
AHHH!!!!

Down completely for me atm.
In the DA area. Luckily we have Sky broadband as well, so I am still online.
Think it's a little worrying that I start to panic if I think I have no internet.
