It's crap, I'm getting big "rubber banding" issues on BF3 due to what I can assume is the result of packet loss.

I'm getting the exact same issues since I moved to the 100Mb service recently, peak times it's almost unusable :(

I've just sent a complaint via the website, doubt anything will happen but I needed someone else to complain at rather than the support forums and customer services who just tell me to wait a few hours and it should get better.

Ours is fine we did have major issues at the start but this was down to a combination of poor wiring and Superhub wireless issues both causing dropouts and volatile SNRs.

I never see it drop speed it always maxes out on Usenet etc.

Just waiting for 100mbit in Ealing...

Looking over this thread it's quite clear that the issues are due to peak time and the number of users online, so VM need to sort this out by increasing the capacity loads.

jeez, you guys are lucky !!!!

I live in Weston-super-Mare and we are lucky if we get 3mb hahaha,
BT have just rolled out that infinity FTTC, which is only on one exchange ! and i aint on it !!!!!

i wonder if we will ever get VM .....

Here's a good speed test result tonight. I should be on the 50Mb service but last weekend asked to be downgraded to 30Mb as it was supposedly unaffected....got £20 refunded off my bill too. Whooppiee!
It peaks at 2.6Mb but it hovers at under 1Mb so its almost impossible to stream or download anything.

Nothing has changed so first thing tomorrow I'm going to cancel. I'll miss the XL TiVo, but thats all.

I had a packet loss of 68% on Virgin last night between 6pm and 8pm. From 8PM until 11Pm My pocket loss was not measureable!

All that download speed but worse than dial up.

Not amused!

Would have to agree at the moment

just tested (1255pm) to Milton Keynes (50 miles) and returned a A result

to Chicargo (US) where the main clan server I use is based and came back B with 0% package loss on either.

50Mb package - fibre optic to street and wired to Home Hub

Just ordered 50mb today, sick of my 10mb connection and some parts of the day getting just 500k... dont know if i will have the same problem but hopefully ill be moved up the priority ladder and be able to watch youtube videos smooth and watch iplayer etc for an extra £14 a month...

after reading and seeing the speeds on here I cannot wait to get me some hd content through my ps3 :). I'm hoping the problem of when the clock hits 11 everything slows right down majorly. I surely should notice a big difference any how.

What exactly will the engineer do? how is the super hub installed? and is it exactly 'super'? on a netgear > to airport express atm.

Frankly nothing that you can't do yourself.

Engineer arrived when I was out and Mrs in.

Was here 5 mins tops. Connected Hub which he hard wired to lappy ... checked it was working ... done. Left old modem behind.

Spent a little time myself, when I returned and realised that he basically had done nowt, changing admin password, selecting wi-fi channel to avoid neighbour channel conflicts and setting up static IP for my gaming rig.

Super? well it has a lot of nice features.. MAC address filtering... ability to set access times if you have kids etc

but nowt special
