Cardiff - its always in use, I'm not disapointed with the results. 50/5..

That graph is what your connection looks like on average? Any issues at all, particularly with (FPS) games?

ive only had 1 prob where sites where loading slowly but apart from that that ive never had any probs really. im in a 12 month contract so all good atm. had it for about 6 weeks. will see what 80/15 prices on bt is in the future but for the time being im very happy. also cs source is all i play on steam and always get less that 20ms on servers.

I'm really thinking of getting BT infinity, especially since I got a letter saying that could offer me their 100mb service that is coming soon, for cheaper than my current virgin's 50mb -.- This is what I've had for around 3-4 months (I've had 3 separate engineer visits, and as well as that utilisation issue fix dates have been delayed by 1 month, 3 times already)

^ It's like that day in day out, only decent when I sleep. I do wonder how much hassle it would be to change to BT

Anyone with discount on their cable broadband had it removed? I have had my new bill and they whacked up the price for next month and previous month. Where do I stand legally? (Im guessing in shtuck).

Also they said the price of 50Mbit is £38, but their website says £35? Cheers folks.

Legally you may not have a leg to stand on, but as a paying customer you certainly have some leverage.

Phone up, say you want to cancel as your price has gone up without you being notified and you are not happy. You'll either be forwarded to "retentions" or the person you are speaking to will sort it out by "correcting" this to avoid losing a customer.

Thanks Speed. Will do.

Is this happening more often now? Or have I just been unlucky?

Also shouldnt there be any warning or notice of such a change as they have effectively charged me for next month and last month?

I noticed that BT have started rolling out FTTH for £35pm which is a really sweet price. I'm totally tempted to switch myself after seeing the guys post on here with the FTTC connection where it just looked empty!

Cable being replaced on the 23rd, I can't wait. Might also upgrade to 100MB, they only want an extra £10 a month.

The ADSL24 graph at the top of the page looks amazing!

Who have you gone with in the end? BT seem to be the only FTTC supplier offering unlimited, but i'm not sure what line installation cost will be.

BT Infinity is only going to be 80Mb. Not 100 Mb :p

That aside, I have contact with a good technician finally, who is keeping on the network managers back about my problem. The equipment in the cabinet is fine apparently, so it's somewhere further down the network.

Going to call in a few days again. The black potting (think it's that and not spotting) is still happening.
