Well I would get it if VM would allow me, I call them they tell me I can have it, they pass me on to another deppartment who no nothing about my details I just gave, I tell these people they pass me on, it just goes round in circles!
 
Had an issue with my Vbox last week, engy came and swapped it ouu fro a new one, black one woo albeit not the samsung one :(

Had a quick chat about the 50Mb, seems not many subscribers in my area, so should be a good connection here.

He says they switched over to DLink as the netgears had a habit of dropping connection.

Need to call them for a refund fo teh time I was without the TV, also gonna give another go at a package haggle xD

I've found a fault with my WNR2000 - It keeps needing to be re-booted or I hit 5Mb or so max. Also I found that the port forwarding is very hit and miss. I might get them to swap it for the D-Link.

Service-wise, I can't fault it yet. Took a little bit of fiddling with my PCs to get good speeds but the service is solid, speed good throughout the day, pings always good.
 
Has anyone got the 50mb cheaper than this on-line, or should i phone and ask for 50mb at £37? (or will i need to wait until the 1st)

VM should have said when you booked the install.
If I was you I would ring them in office hours and have them check and while they are at it ask them to see what router you are getting.

I'm on the 20mb, just called and upgraded to the 50mb (same price £37), I'm getting the D-Link wireless router (I asked) although I didn’t ask about the USB Dongle or what model the router is, from reading this thread it looks like the D-Link is the best one. Installation is £20, 4th Sept...can’t wait!

Are they giving that offer to match the price of your current 20mb (£37) or do you have a VM Phone Line?

When is that offer going to start that for new and existing customers its going to be £28 a month or something?

I've just got Broadband only, don't want the phone although i know it would only cost me £1, 50mb is something like £28 + £11 for the phone, or £37 on its own (give or take £1) as far as i know this is the 1st Sept deal...
