Attempt: #1 FAIL :(

£59 p/m 12month (708 p/a)
P line
TV XL
Phone XL
BB XXL
Caller ID
Premium Barring

Free install
Free activation
Free router, Wireless adapter

he said that was the standard new cutomer offer but with the £7 p/m discount added to the entire 12 months rather than initial 6.

Which annoyed me as I crrently get a 22.70 discount per month!

He also said that they were to receive price/offer updates on 7th of this month, take with a grain of salt tho.

That doesnt sound to bad tbh, at least they offered you free install and activation. The £22.70/mo discount you mention probably only brings your service price into line with that of a new customer, but they do like to tell you your getting xx discount when in fact your not really.

If your out of the 12 month contract period it may be worth calling retentions unless that was who you just spoke to?

I speak to them every 12 month lol, always takesa few tries xD

The guy I spoke to had to check the site also when I was giving him info as he didnt seem aware of some of it.

Argued with him that I wanted my bill to Read BB XXL @ 28 as a new customer would instead of my current BB XL @ 37 but he wouldnt have it :( lol

It has become a lot harder to get decent deals out of them recently tho :(

I had the same yesterday, the person I spoke to first didnt know about the price reduction at all so I guess its still dribbling through.

I wish they would jsut adjust the individual service prices instead of applying the supposed discount to your bill it would make working out your deal so much simpler!

Description Date/period Amount
Line Rental 10 August - 09 September £11.00
Talk Unlimited 10 August - 09 September £7.95
Loyalty Pack Bb/ Phone/TV C 10 August - 09 September £-22.50
TV Size: X L 10 August - 09 September £23.00
Broadband Size: L 10 August - 09 September £25.00

I'll be on the phone next week for some serious haggling, I can get nearly the same bundle from Sky (inc HD channels) for only a couple of pounds more so that should give me some leverage :D

I am now on £31 a month with XXL broadband only with 50 meg. The standard price is £38 monthly reduce to £31 monthly with £7 a month discount loyalty. And that is the broadband stand alone.

I use BT line for anytime unlimited with free 0845 and 0870 free calls with line rental at £17.70 a month with free local, national calls via 01,02 and 03 at any times of the day, evening and weekend.

I use Sky TV with sky+ HD x 1, sky+ x 1 with HD pack, multiroom and full packages of sky movies, sky sports and ESPN and all 6 packs at £76 a month.

So, I am paying £124.70 a month for BT phone, sky multiroom tv and virgin cable broadband.

the guy i spoke too knew the prices had dropped but didnt know of the new deals etc, I kept saying "oh and its got medium tv" "ok well add that for you" "oh and that m tv has m+" "ooo does it? ok well add that for you too!"

:)

Well I just upgraded from L BB to XL BB.

My package use to include:

Line Rental.............................£11.00
Talk evening and weekends.......£3.45
Phone, BB L & TV Discount.........-£11.00
TV Size M...............................£0.00
BB L.......................................£25.00
Paper Bill CHarge......................£1.25

Total = £29.70

And now with XL BB its £35.70

Is that a good deal or am i getting hammered?

Dont know wheather i need XL BB but i'll give it a try for a month and if its a waste then will be going back to L BB and down to £28p/m

I actually downgraded back to 20meg on Thursday but it was pants and i always get full speed off it just felt slow going back to 20, so i phoned up today moaned about the few issues i had with 50 meg in the first month and they offered to put me back on 50meg and for 6 months i just pay 20m prices, more than happy with that.

Is there a set price for upgrading the XL BB from the XL TV,Phone and BB package that i am on at the minute, as i think it is around £55 a month from them for it, and the site shows new customers can have the 50mb with it for that price :(
