You need to complain. VM arranged to install my services on Saturday about a week after my order date - suffice to say, they didn't turn up.
I called them and spoke to a really unhelpful (the vast majority of VM's call centre staff could be described as such) gentleman who told me the next date was 3 weeks away and that if I wanted an earlier date I would have to keep calling to check for cancellations - the bloody cheek

. So I called the cancellation line who advised the same thing... Customer Service is an alien concept to them it would seem.
As a last resort I sent in an email complaint via the website and the next day had a call from a extremely helpful lady. She apologised for the inconvenience, spoke to the head of the team in my area and I had a booking for the next day and would be the first call on the round - the guy was even 20 minutes early for the appointment.
