I never ever got superhub, i was just left with my old modem/router combo.
I got a letter from them today about the price increase which also confirms the speed increase.

I know stuff is getting faster, but another price increase so close to the last is getting a bit rich.
What if you stay in 152mb, do you forego the hike?
Do we know what speeds there gonna be now ?
You may as well stay in the 152mb bracket. When the free upgrades come into effect you will most probably be getting 200 Mb+
Unless you offset the hike by downgrading your line so inturn for example 100Mb you therotically could get 150Mb after the upgrade.
The price hikes will have affected all tiers. Unless your a customer whose contract is near renewal then you are in a position to negotiate, or new customer taking VM special offer for the first 6 months
Over to you Sir![]()

I'm getting ****** off with VM. I was paying £27.62 in February, then they increased the speed to 100MB which they said would be free but my bill in March went to £31.50. Now they want another £1.75 from November. The problem is there's no competing companies for Broadband only, every other company insists on a landline. BT's top speed is 75MB + landline and costs over £40. I guess I can threaten VM that I'm leaving but in reality there's nowhere to go, plus I don't want to lose my email address. I don't need more speed, 60MB is fine for me and I don't want to pay more for further speed increases.
20mbit up... Is there a particular reason why they don't allow us higher upload speeds? Considering everything is going cloud, I'd have hoped they would increase the upload before the down. I'd sooner settle for an extra >50mbit up than any increase in down.
Yes - 152Mb is way more than I need, but 12Mb is pathetic and 20Mb isn't that much better.
Pretty sure this has already been covered, but anyway: Just ring up, choose the option for 'thinking of leaving us' and say you want to cancel your contract based on the price increase (this is your right). They will offer you a discount, make noises and say it's still expensive compared to the offers Sky/TT/PN are offering and get more knocked off. Push until you think you've hit your limit and take the offer.
Again, though, you said it yourself... They are faster, and still cheaper than any of the mainstream competition. People moan the network is old and congested in parts, but moan when they have to pay an extra quid or two, even when it's still less than half the speed elsewhere. VM/Liberty Global are investing heavily in the network and rolling out DOCSIS 3.1 which will bring not only capacity upgrades but massive bandwidth increases in both directions. It's gotta come from somewhere.
Nothing to worry about. Phone them up and select the 'leaving VM' option and let them know you want to cancel because you are not happy with the price increase. They should offer you a decent deal there and then
