Trials are taking place in Huddersfield and Coventry ATM

Huddersfield has 5Mb and 10Mb up on 50Mb.
Coventry has 5Mb up on 50Mb and 2Mbps up on 20Mb.

Still no news on how long before they decide if it'll go live, at what speed and more importantly at what cost.

I personally think 50Mb being VM's premuim product should have 5Mb up, and maybe 10Mb as a small extra as 1.75Mb is pretty poor for 50Mb down.

Bought an 15metre ethernet cable so i can get full speed with my net as wireless was to dodgey on the 50meg. Get 47-51Mb/s now

Though of course its like near impossible to download at 6MB/s

Not bad -- from netload.in
Going slightly higher for a few secs here and there. But 5.89MB/s is fine for me

(using 2 different download managers)

I Like sharing my 50Mb connection with 2 Others and Can still Dl from steam at 4.6Mbps...

i find it quite funny that i can download say Grid witch is not a small game in about an hour

My swe m8 on his 100meg connection 100/100 can't get over 1.2 MBs on steam haha. Though can download at 12MB/s from friends on apexdc

I had a quick try earlier on steam was gettign around 2/3 ish --

I am so grateful my 'rents decided to go for 50mb. I have downloaded Fallout3 GOTY in 30minutes. It is like 9GB in total with downloads peaking at 5.6MB/S.

First time im failing with my 50meg tonight

Would restart the modem and router - though dad is playing poker so no chance!

Of course it fixed itself within a couple of hours

LOOOOOOOOOOOL jokes! that brings back some horrendous memories! Gone are the days of internet over copper wires! Say hello to next generation Super-doooooper internet. I only hope they hurry up their trials in Ebsfleet though!
