Virgin Media increasing broadband speeds by 20 - 200% starting February

Downgrade to a lower package and get upgraded to 60meg?

Although, just realised you'll have download limits if you do this.
 
if you're on 50Mbps, you could drop to 30Mbps to save a few quid and then wait to be upgraded to 60Mbps for free.

I’m reading into it this way, people who will be on the new 120mb will pay a little more than you (and me) who will be on 100mb…I guess at the moment double the speed is worth a large premium, but at only 20mb faster the premium has to come down.
 
I'm currently on the 50Mb package and VM sent me this email:

Hmmm,

I really need to know when the 100Mb price drops are coming.

I would not mind at all upgrading to 100 now for £45 a month and then in April the price drops to £35 a month which is what 50Mb would cost me now.
 
Here's the e-mail I got (100mb). Looks like it's dropping from £50 to £35 a month and a 20% speed boost too. Superb if true!

It clearly states that they're upgrading my 100Mb line to 120 starting in April.... I'm on 30Mb.

Either I'm due for 120Mb for free or the system is messed up big time :p

I'm going to keep hush hush about it and see what happens in March/April :p

I would'nt get too excited!. I got the same email. Obviously just the ceiling limit.

April-July for me. Dartford postcode.

I am really torn between getting 100MB or downgrading and getting 60MB for less. Really can't decide.
