VM 20 > 30 meg upgrade

Torrents completely crash this thing.
I'm using the same settings as I was using with the router, but it now becomes impossible to load a web page with uTorrent running.

Time to implement the workaround to get my Linksys involved again.

Is that when your uploading at the full 1Mb? Cap your upload to half and try that

No it was capped at my old upload rate of 768kbps. Besides the issue is that it cripples browsing for ages after I've closed the blummin thing down! I can understand it doing it whilst torrenting when no bandwidth limits have been set, by why on earth is browsing affected for such a long time afterwards?

Does anyone know if I can use the Superhub for wireless clients and my router for wired clients? I want my phone to retain access to 30Mb speeds, something that my Linksys cannot provide over wireless.

If you're doing the DMZ trick then you could enable the DHCP and Wireless on the superhub for your phone to connect to, but it would effectively be a different network to the router and wired clients I think?

To be honest I'm not entirely sure how it would work LAN wise when connecting the LAN port of the superhub to the WAN port of your router? As your router would still have a local IP from the superhub you'd be able to interact with that but whether that'll then get blocked on the router I'm not sure?

Any luck?

Oh yeah :D I saved screenies but shut the laptop down lol :p

I connected a Realtek RTL8188S USB Wireless-N dongle which connects at Half N speeds (150Mbps) and this was the result:

That's on an old Acer laptop with an Athoon64 and 1GB RAM on Win7 x64 so the USB card is relying on the CPU.

So your full 300Mbps N connection will more than cope with 30Mb/50Mb.

As for comparison, wired:
