Vodafone broadband any good?

I'm still paying £28/month for my "Up to 76mb" fibre. I keep getting told that price is due to increase, that it will increase - but I've had no communication from Vodafone to indicate this is the case.
I suppose, unlike Talk Talk before them, it's possible they are going to honour the 18 month contract I signed up for and not increase my bill until June 2018 when my 18 months are up. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Took out Vodafone broadband and was connected Tuesday, all was well. However, since waking up Wednesday morning I've had the pulsing green/red lights on the router. The stuff that comes with the router suggests this is trying to establish a connection. Is this normal some 32-hours on?

Vodafone broadband is definitely working, mine went live yesterday. I'm on it now with the supplied router. I got my login from online chat and attempted to setup my own router along with a HG612 modem this morning but kept getting authentication failed messages so went back to the Voda router.
Just had a closer look at the username and password they posted in the chat and I can see why I couldn't get online with it. They've given my username as dsl*******@broadband.vodadfone.co.uk
Doh

That username format matches mine, I've successfully used it to connect with my hg612

The password is case sensitive, and from what I've read, the chat have a history of making mistakes when typing it out.

Vodafone informed plusnet that I was moving landline provider, but forgot to tell them I was also moving broadband :(

Luckily plusnet were pretty cool about it and gave me a refund and closed my account. I imagine they probably could have made it difficult if they wanted to as it was vodafone's mistake.

I suspect the problem is 'vodadfone' LOL

Yeah, I spent 40mins this morning trying to get my own router connected before giving up and putting the provided router back online. I only noticed the spelling mistake when I was going to go back on chat this afternoon to check if I'd been given wrong info.
Can't really have another go until the morning as half my family are leeching my internet right now :D

Looking at the Vodafone forum people reported only having been given the dsl0000***** bit when asking for their password in the past. I suspect the agent added the @vodadfone part himself to be helpful.

I've only been given the dsl*** bit, i've yet to use a router as not got DSL router other than the supplied Vodafone one. I've also heard you can get a static ip now?

The supplied router never managed to remain connected above 2.5 hours for me during the 2 days I used it. I've gone back to my Huawei HG612 Modem connected to an old Asus RT N56U router this morning and it's been up 13 hours at the moment.
I was with PlusNet before using the Huawei modem and it'd been up 104 days before the change to Vodafone.

Although I have my username/password so I can use my own router, to be honest I'm finding the Vodafone quite adequate.
I use a Ubiquiti LR for my wireless, so I'm only using the wired side of the Vodafone router. On what was said above, I've literally this second logged onto the router to check it's uptime:

PPP Session Uptime
100 days, 15 hours, 43 seconds

From what I remember, I mean it was 100 days ago, my connection went down for no real reason and on it's return the download was now being reported as 79.9 whereas it had been 80.0 before the loss of connection.

well i'm connected to vodafone now.

first impression. i'm very pleased with the speed. i'm getting full wack 80/20

websites feels quicker to load comparing to virgin media 120mb especially in the evening.

wireless wise, cant tell the difference on my mobile phone and amazon firestick to be honest.

tomorrow will cancel VM cable to save money :)

edit: im using google dns 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 imgur working now

So are Voda using their own kit in local exchanges? Is this exclusively the case throughout the UK where their fibre services are available or are they actually sharing the same kit as everyone else in some situations?

I've just ordered the 76 service today as Sky bending over backwards to keep me as a loyal customer meant that their 38 service would still cost £9 a month MORE than Voda's 76..... I live north of Inverness, I really don't think my exchange up here will have Vodafone owned kit specifically for their customers up here?
