Vodka

nah ive had some very expensive stuff before, 70%+ vodka, it still tastes like ******* arse

good for getting ****ed up though

Just because it is expensive, doesn't make it good. High percentage stuff is awful, Once drank some 79.9% stuff, Polish pure sprirt. Geez that stuff was harsh. Were mixing it with bacardi at the time . . . .

I personally hate absolut, its awful stuff! I like Wyborowa myself!
Smirnoff is good enough for mixing, but thats all. Would not drink it straight!

I am yet to be converted to this, especially at the price they sell it for. Chase Vodka is good, but in my opinion, not as good as Snow Queen for the same price.

Vodka is not my tipple of choice so I'm happy to bow to greater experience. Chase is certainly the nicest vodka I've had.

It's when just sniffing it singes nostril hairs, that's when you know you've got the real deal...

It's not much fun though, I'd only ever have something like that to say I've done so and then move back to something I might enjoy.

I went to a Russian wedding reception a few years ago, and the style is to chill the shot glasses and bottle, then pour down the hatch a few times :D

If its good quality then dont spoil it with pap like red bull or coke, if it is slightly cheaper quality then do ;)

edit: for typos, damned champagne :D

energy drinks and some Skittles but was wondering what else can be done with it :)

what is this i don't even

Ice. Just add ice and enjoy it. Don't put sweeties in it, you goon.

e : just seen that the above poster favours Irn Bru so I refer to my previous state of 'what is this i don't even' comment. Cherryade? WTF dude?

I'm Polish myself and I have to agree with that - my worst alcohol poisoning resulted from two cups of coke with spirits (it was 3 parts spirits 1 part coke mind you and no I didn't know that at the time). Turned me off pure alcohol for months =/.

As for my suggestions: try having a shot of Zubrowka followed by an immediate shot of apple juice - the after taste is that of an apple pie.

haha I can't stand Vodka on its own makes me heave when drinking it. Everyone has different tastes ;)

Tatanka, as I believe it is called.

Certainly not in Polish it isn't. That may be its name in some other slavic country mind you.

EDIT: What do you know...turns out it is called that in some areas. Not where I lived though :P

EDIT 2: After looking into it bit further - Tatanka is an actual cocktail (100 ml Zubrowka, 100 ml apple juice, cinnamon mixed in a shaker with ice). Suppose that has a similar effect to what I described, although in my case you don't need a shaker - just need to drink apple juice immediately after vodka.

I'm tempted to get myself a bottle of vodka, both Russian Standard and Finlandia are about £11 in Sainsburys at the moment. I've had Finlandia before and qutie liked it, but do you think Russian Standard is better?

They are both of a good standard for the price but I would always choose Finlandia. Spend the extra 30p and get the Grapefruit Fusion. It is epic.
