Watch Dogs - Ubisoft's Third Person Shooter

GTA won't be out until December according to pre order sites

Dang. I just assumed U.S. Fall meant beginning of Autumn over here.

The main story took me about 6-8hrs but I bypassed all the mini games and side missions same as I did on GTA

Decent amount. I love side missions, sometimes I do find myself forgetting to do the story in most games haha.

Looked up some MultiPlayer footage, it looked interesting. Anyone play much MP?

I love playing the ctOS app on my phone. Maxed out now though and the points you get on the app don't add to you pc version
on the pc I like the online hacking, tailing, ctOS & race mode

The other 2 modes are good but they lag a lot more than the other modes

I like to hack people so ctOS send a RLP after me lol

With a 295x2 i run Watchdogs on Full Ultra @1440p 8xMSAA and its a mess screens all shakey and a stuttery mess!
Knock down to 4xMSAA and its playable but still Stuttering

The game annoys me lol
Maybe it's not the type of stuttering you're getting but have you tried the pagefile tweak?

i dled this for my ipad, pretty good, but seems to take a long time to find players! i thinks it a very cool tie into the game

i finally got the game running yesterday. there a issue with some GPU's due to the texture setting, if it's set on low or medium the game won't start. by default it's set on low (i think)

anyway. on ultra setting and texture set to high, FXAA, 1080p, i get between 50 - 75 fps but the game seems to crash more on ultra, so i keep everything on high and i get far less crashs.

This game is turning in a right joke.

What in the Gods name were Ubisoft thinking when they decided to nerf it on the PC? Was it just for the comparison videos so the 'next gen' console don't look like utter **** compared to the PC?

Here's the thing, the game runs pretty well for the graphics it's putting out at ultra for me on a 7970. This is still higher end but had I a crossfire or 290x or something high end i wouldn't be seeing much improvekent.

Had they added another level of graphics that required more horsepower this would have been the game to make me upgrade. In that respect I think that ubisoft have released a game that is well suited to the current PC market.

However I think watchdogs was an opportunity to showcase that PC console gap, as I said in a previous post I cannot see that there is a technical issue stopping the game from lookin lg like the e3 demo. Ubi obviously know there is almost no limit to how far you can go with PC graphics at this time.

It's my opinion that there is a marketing reason for this, is it better to release a game that maxes out at a decent level of performance and will people feel like its not a worthwhile purchase if one needs multiple top end GPUs to Max it out.

It's been a curious ecosystem for pc games in the fact that it is technically easy to throw massive amounts of advanced features at a game making it possibly take 5 or 6 times as much power to run as a console and some people will be able to run it.

Only a handful of games even really require multiple gpus , I guess the problem is that there is no reason for devs to put their neck on the line as its not in there benefit to them of you buy more graphics cards or system components.

But yes in my opinion this game still looks great.

Well whoever posted that you are just WRONG, plenty of people in this thread and elsewhere on the internet that shelled out full price or close have clearly stated that the game looks absolutely amazing in every way and is above all criticism.... There is simply no possibility that their completely unbiased opinion could possibly be unfounded, so this is clearly a big hoax

;)

oh dear time to bring out the classic pics again:D

Well this news has been making the rounds on the Internet, but if this is the first time you've seen it, then... YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST! Watch Dogs actually HAS all of the sweet graphical effects from the E3 2012 showcase, but they've been disabled - presumably to keep the PC version from looking too much better than the console versions....

:):)

Tried the mod and it gives me a headache with all that DOF, interesting though as I'm sure it will get better over time.

Just downloaded 0.7...

Funny thing about the mod is that prior to installing tod only updated for me when I moved the character or the camera. Now its updating as I assume was intended.
