Watch Dogs - Ubisoft's Third Person Shooter

Hmm, now is the time to sell though as once the words comes out that 4 cores are no longer enough, resell prices will plummet. THen again, i7-3930K is around £400, so resale of my i5 is a drop in the ocean. Need to look into this :)

That will never happen to much cash lost by targeting just for 8 core.

An our i5 2500K fetches £100-110 in MM.

I'm pleased they have delayed it. Better to get it right than rush it to the shelves and then spend months patching it.

Plus, I'm planning a GFX upgrade in the Spring, so this is nice timing :D

put the marketing hype pipe down please.

look at the specs of the 8 core console cpus...

don't go thinking they can optimise for an instruction set.

it's not like gpus where everyone is so different they can work miracles

more people buying its broke they delaying it because of all the big games coming out soon and it will get swallowed up !

its being released in the next best gaming period of easter.

the money they put into this it has to sell well and it wont because cod and battlefield 4 and gta5 will eat up everything.

@DG

I don't think it's about other games at all. Ubisoft released this as an explanation, which is exactly what I wanted to hear to be honest :

‘We know a lot of you are probably wondering: Why now? We struggled with whether we would delay the game. But from the beginning, we have adopted the attitude that we will not compromise on quality. As we got closer to release, as all the pieces of the puzzle were falling into place in our last push before completion, it became clear to us that we needed to take the extra time to polish and fine tune each detail so we can deliver a truly memorable and exceptional experience’

Don't really care about the graphics too much but the PS4 version won't compete with the PC - especially after it's been out a while - the game on the PC will just get modded to hell and back :)

Can't wait - looks absolutely fantastic and if they nail it - then wow!

the e 3 vids where on a pc whereat they so there's hope but tbh if the games any good it wont mater just it looked real impressive at e3 i bet the delay was for optimization to get it running on consoles that's why it looks worse

They've lost so much hype for this game, delaying it was probably the worst thing they could have done, a lot of people who couldn't wait for this, now couldn't really care and will probably only pick it up in a sale.

Yeah whereas i simply can't wait for "The Division" Now. Hope they don't FUBAR the graphics in that too.

Unless they have used the time to make one hell of a game - word of mouth would make most of those people pick it up instantly. It often happens on these forums for example.

Haven't been following this one, but it looks like it has a lot of potential.

Ubisoft games usually have fantastic graphics on the PC, so lets hope they make the most of the platform.

I fear that it's merely a bit of polish as an excuse to delay it due to GTA V's success, also nerfing the graphics so the next gen consoles can run it at a respectable frame rate/resolution.

Honestly, delaying it was probably the worst thing they could have done, especially when this was probably one of the, if not the most anticipated game for the next gen consoles for launch. Totally missed opportunity.
