Watch Dogs - Ubisoft's Third Person Shooter

Waht's with the 8 cores CPUs though? Wow, my 2500k is no longer sufficient? Noooooo :)

Does any other game require more than 4 cores on CPU?

DOes BF4 need 8 cores for Ultra? ANd how could cores help with graphics anyway, I could understand their utilisation for physics, but physics are still stuck in UnrealTournament3 or something in all AAA games.

ANyway, looks like I need to upgrade then :)

You don't need 8 cores to play it. It will run fine on a quad setup with a beefy gfx card. The difference between Ultra and High settings is barely noticeable in PC games, so I'm quite happy to play this game on an i5 2500k with a GTX 580. I know it will run fine and look sweet.

Hmm, now is the time to sell though as once the words comes out that 4 cores are no longer enough, resell prices will plummet. THen again, i7-3930K is around £400, so resale of my i5 is a drop in the ocean. Need to look into this :)

8 cores seem's to be the new gaming trend with the next gen consoles on the way

NO IT ISNT ! stop believing bs :p

bf4 has highlighted this and that's one of the game optimized for cpus and cores. a similar clocked 8350 to i5 for eg is down 10-20 percent.

all marketing. if you want the fastest intel.

The Crew got delayed to they said
The tough decisions we are taking today to fully realize the major potential of our new creations have an impact on our short-term performance. We are convinced that, longer term, they will prove to be the right decisions both in terms of satisfaction for our fans and in terms of value creation for our shareholders. We are building franchises that will become perennial pillars of Ubisoft's financial performance.

Just to pre-empt some responses....my usual response to this would be that it is good and they should release the game when it is ready, however, this has been in development for long enough, and has been delayed 3-4 months about 5 weeks before release!

...maybe if they had spent resources on actually making the game as opposed to marketing it

Bah :( This is one of the very few games i was looking forward to, just not much that interests me these days.
