Watch Dogs - Ubisoft's Third Person Shooter

They posted this on facebook around lunch time

"Watchdogs have just arrived in the warehouse. We're scanning them and the first batch will be uploaded in about 5-6 hours."

Would be interested to know if that allowed early access. The guy who had his copy early on neogaf was able to play offline early.

quality article that and pleasently suprised at the recommended settings for my 670.

if what the nvidia guy is saying about the day 1 patch is true that along with the newly released drivers should have it in as good a state for me as possible.

Lookin forward to gettin home from work early tomorrow :)

This is more like it !

Ah, you gotta love Guru3D‘s members. Watch_Dogs isn’t officially out yet and those guys have already delved into the hidden options that are being supported in the PC version.

PC gamers should set the ‘DeferredFXQuality’ option (located in Docs > My Games > Watchdogs > xxxx > GamerProfile.xml) from console to PC.

Obviously to achieve these settings @ 4K with everything maxed is out of reach of most gamers..

Already been confirmed that changing to PC makes no difference whatsoever. The screenshots above just look that much better because they've been downsampled from 4K

be interesting to see how the game reacts to these new drivers from both parties. Hopefully, multi cards setups now benefit from decent scaling. I've heard a lot of people getting between 30fps and 60fps on killer rigs.

I'm torn between getting this on the PC or PS4 as my i5 2500k at 4.4Ghz only meets the minimum spec.

I think a new mobo and processor will be my next purchase.

For the people asking about the supersampling in the screenshots I posted... You have to set it in the config file in my documents....

Theres a supersampling option in there that's set to 0 by default...set it to 1 and it adds supersampling...so I presume if you switch the in game settings to MSAA x4 its adds 4x supersampling aswell as the FPS im getting seem to correspond with that.

I tried MSAA x 8 but ended up with 3 fps so that was no good.
MSAA x 4 I ended up with about 15 fps which is the setting I took those screenshots on.
TSMAA I get about 25=35 fps so that seems the most playable setting with supersdampling enabled and it looks great. When the new drivers come out tomorrow it should run much better too.

it would be handy to know what your system specs are mate

i5 3570K @4.8

290 x 2 in crossfire at stock at the moment although crossfire doesn't work yet so so only using one card.

considering its getting 15 fps with MSAAx4 and 25-35 fps with TSMAA and supersampling once the new drivers come out it should be very playable and it looks stunning.

Your i5 will run this game fine providing you have a decent graphics card. No need to upgrade yet.
